Finished the first season last night on hbo max. Didn't care for the poor little me shyt at the end, but shyt is dope.


Only cinemax originals I ever checked for was hotel erotica and best sex ever. Why y'all ain't tell me that was dropping shyt like this?

If you like this, look for "Banshee" and "Quarry".

But IMO their best show by far was "The Knick".

Mai Ling is so unlikeable, Li Yong gonna give her that Danerys treatment.

Jacob. Chao lost some cool points for that.


Penelope Sophie is so fukking dumb.



Didn't care for Leary early on but he gained my respect. Ah Sahm whooped that ass though.

Young Jun getting lightweight played. At least he knows the truth now.

Hopefully shyt gets picked up by max.

Show is dope af, glad HBO grabbed it but I hope there’s a season 3.

shyt was 10x’s better than Badlands and Wu Warriors.

I like the fact that it’s based off history too, albeit loosely. Some of the characters are based off historical people too.

Im actually rewatching it.

Ah Sahm is doing his best Bruce Lee impression. Ah Toy was based off a real woman. Tong wars were real. Mai Ling is a giant c*nt... i would fukk tho.

Also glad the guy producing it also created Banshee (Chao, the Banshee bar, etc., sprinkled in). There’s a lot to unpack with characters but its dope. I also like the lil mid season breaks where they go to the wild west or Mexico.
