To be real those non haitians from the caribbeans started all of this, I always looked at them as black people but those other non aa groups use to sell them out

And those groups use to hang around aa so us being ignorant we took what they use to say and repeat it

Their beef with haitians had to come from shyt they heard from their parents , and a lot of haitians didn't even tell people they were haitians until them real zoes started putting in work, getting money and making other haitians feel proud to rep it in public

And now some love to throw around that yank word and say slick shyt, I mess with a lot of haitian girls and had to get on a few about that word

Yea Im NOT trying to deny AAs targeting Haitians in Miami. Because it did happen I was just saying that SOME of those "AAs" were sometimes Bahamians. But more importantly I know it maybe tough for people to realize but this thing DID start with non-Haitian Caribbeans(and not just Dominicans btw). I say this after encountering some Bahamians online who were saying anti-Haitian shyt that almost sounded like what a white supremacist would say such as "mudcookies." That's when I started putting two and two together. Not saying anti-Haitianism is rooted in Bahamian culture like certain Dominicans but I notice some of the slick shyt they be saying about Haitians. Haitians being the poorer island from what I noticed gets slick stuff thrown at them by these non-Haitian Caribbeans.

And @Meh you know EXACTLY what I mean with the bolded. *wink*

North Florida and the panhandle been had Aframs. SoFla been had Afram migration later on(post Bahamian migration), but you make valid points.

Not true.

White and afram railroad workers were brought in to literally build the flagler railroad (which is essentially the heart and soul of Miami).

Bahamians were here as a fishing destination but they still lived in Bahamas.

Everywhere...You never there.
Obviously he answered his own question and he actually CANT tell the difference :lolbron:

I don't have the time stamp but Trina in this Drink Champs interview said out her own mouth that she is Dominican and Bajan

Florida and NYC are the epicenter of Caribbeans. Only certain southern states like Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Carolinas, etc would I ever say are "stomping grounds"

Man I'm still dead :russ: that he thought all these years that Trina was a Black American

I think one of her own fam, possibly her mother , said Trina was lying about her ethnicity . She’s American black .

I hate to break your heart and what you have probably thought the last 15 years but Trina is actually Dominican and Bahamian

She is not AA at all. She was just born in Miami.

:manny: I guess you can switch her name out for Beyonce and say Beyonce was the one who got you in AA women. Every female rapper with the freaky persona you mentioned is non AA
Trina was originally from South Carolina but grew up in Miami since she was 3 thus why she never claimed SC. Shantae was from Portland Oregon and moved to Miami when she was 25, just a year before i met her.

Im gonna tell you this and I hope you remember it for the rest of your life: Everywhere you go you will find people who hate haitians in every group in the new world, period. Jamaicans dont love Haitians. Bahamians dont love haitians. Trinis dont love haitians. Even Martiniquans and Guadeloupeans are are most close relatives will sometimes say anti-haitian shyt. Trust me im in many Antillais FB groups and while we get love from our fellow kreyol speakers, some shyt on us just the same.

Jamaicans in NYC may be cool with Haitians because they are both immigrants in a foreign land so they have that in common. But Jamaicans dont fukk with Haitians like that. Go holler at a fresh off the boat jamaican and let her know you're haitian and see for yourself. Same for places like Saint Martin and PR and DR.

In the 1800s when slaves were freed in Haiti many slaves from other islands escaped in Bwa Fouyés to come to haiti for freedom and were welcomed with open arms. Since the decline , haitians have been to migrate everywhere and most of them dont welcome us with open arms like we did for them in the 1800s. All that kumbaya shyt you hear about people loving/aring for haitians is just because they like the history. The minute our brothers and sisters land on their shore it's a problem. Venezuelans and Bolivians praise us because in a way they feel indebted to us.

There was this news article in a jamaican news paper that i read way back in 2010 after the earthquake. I've been i' trying my hardest in the last hour to find for you and will post later. It pretty much illustrates how jamaicans in jamaica feel about haitians and it's almost the same in most f the islands. There was even a cartoon showing some jamaicans giving donations for Haiti while others were panicking and screaming "here com da fukkin haitians!" while pointing at small boats full of black people in the ocean. I'll look for it

Good post. Like I was saying not denying AAs targeting Haitians but from what I notice many of the more racist shyt I heard were from other Caribbean islanders. It seems Cubans FROM Cuba are the only ones who have been welcoming to Haitians. Heck Cubans willingly go to Haiti to shop.

But yea I wasn't trying to start no tribal shyt but offering context with the Bahamian discussion because like I say many have lived in Florida for a VERY LONG ass time and basically became "African-Americans" if that makes it sound easier. And the bolded is 100% true and I noticed it a lot especially from English West Indians. As for Venezuelans and other countries that were apart of Gran Colombia they SHOULD feel that way after all Haitians did for them and then Simon Bolivar backstabbing Haitians.

And yea post that news article. But all in all if Haiti were to develop I feel all this hate would cease.

I never said there werent anti-Haitian sentiments among other islanders. I've known it for years since i set foot in this country. Jamaicans or Bahamians didnt care for us but they werent targetting us either. Were there instances where certain jamaicans or bahamians and certain haitians had beef and they tried to make it sound like it's an all out war between the two? Wouldnt be surprised. But again during my 11 years there i never heard of no Bahamian/Haitian beef. I was never in an area where there were a lot of bahamians and felt threatened in any way.

What i dont appreciate however, is when i say AAs back in FL were specifically targetting haitians and you and some other cats saying "well some of them were really Bahamian" as if i dont fukking know what i'm talking about. This is something i lived through myself. None of them fukkas that i personally know ever claimed BH or JA and you know damn well people back then were quick to claim other islands just to distance themselves from haitians. So im sure most of them sided with AAs rather than side with us since they have their beautiful English language in common and it's best to side with the owners of the house than the guest when you're a guest yourself. Especially since that's when dancehall reggae got hot and the Americans were sudenly interested in some aspects of caribbean culture so them cats were repping their islands hard.

I dont have a beef or ax to gring with AAs. As i mentioned many times most of my current friends and most women i date are AA. One of them actually lurks here. But i'm not gonna cape as if the shyt didnt happen. I'm sure you've read many of my posts for over a decade now and i doubt i come across as the paranoid type to be recklessly saying shyt about certain groups and jumping to conclusions without doing my own investigation. I may ask questions . or question certain behaviors and people think it's "haiting" but I'm always the first to say when i dont know something or admit when i'm wrong i do a mea culpa.
