Yeah Miramar about say 25 years ago was quiet and still wooden and swamp. Around the late 90s, that started to change rapidly. That’s why people started to skip it and head to Pembroke Pines.

Yeah wasn't shyt around back then. Everything started growing in the late 90s. I think Pines started growing first west of 75, then Miramar after. Far as how bad Miramar is, it depends on the area. West side still ok, just suburbs. Don't hear much about the east side but its still got its hoods. Haven't been in school in years so not sure how bad the schools have gotten lately.

Yeah I don’t ever see Miramar west of say palms getting bad. West of Palms Ave was always good and got better the closer you got to i75. It’s the opposite once you get east of Palms.

yeah true. might get the occassional crimes like car and home breakins, package thefts, etc. Few bank robberies around the area over the years. But nothing too crazy. People get shot here and there but not at a high rate.

I remember in high school it seemed like there was a bunch of kids coming from either New York or Colombia/Venezuela. Them yellow soccer jerseys were popping all over the school. Shoot I might not even be here if my moms hadn't moved from NY with her family in the early 80s.

Crime ain't really popping like that, as someone who's been in broward my whole life who's older the really gully days were mid 2000's.

Sistrunk is getting gentified pretty quickly and cacs are putting up alot of businesses.

If you speaking hood you need to say Sunrise/Oakland + east 31st towards the beach but that's not really gully like that anymore.

Oakland Park Flea Market is a barely open these days, everything is changing and much more diverse.

I will say driving down US1 south entering Dania and Hollywood Blvd those cacs are pretty gully, run down, drug addict area so that's imo is more to be labeled hood but we cleaned up our act alot these days.

Some of my cousins grew up in Carol City but moved to Miramar and refused to rep Miramar for anything. My uncle tho lives in Dade but refuses to move to Broward.
