Wild take, I'm assuming you never watched Russell Westbrook as a rookie/sophomore, he without a doubt improved tremendously throughout his career. He's washed and out of his prime now, but the revisionist history that he did not improve throughout his career is wild af tbh. He had legitimately zero skill sets as a rookie besides defense. as a rookie that i honestly thought he was a bust, he worked his fukking ass off to become a superstar caliber olayee during his prime. in his prime years he could get to the line with a ridiculously high ftr (80% ft shooter), mid range touch and finish at rim. Undoubtedly injuries and usage caught up to him ij his career, but its wild to see people rewrite that man's career cause he's no longer in his prime years. He worked hard to become who he was, comparing him to ben simmons is ridiculous especially considering he was thought to be a reach in the draft. There was a period he was injured every off season after pat bev fukked up his knee, comparing him to ben simmons is wild.
:russ: My nikka @Big Dikk Joe out of line for comparing my nikkas Big Dikk Ty and Big Dikk Russ with that Australian fakkit Ben Simmons.

He's a 34 year old pg with multiple knee injuries of course he's going to get worse and worse :dead:. To sit here and say he didn't work on his game coming out of ucla is some ridiculous shyt. He had zero skillsets out of defense. In fact playing him as a rookie he led the tank by himself not being able to do anything on the court at a high level. Some of y'all nba fans are wild af with yall takes.
Why can't he shoot?

Why are his hands so bad?

If you lose athleticism in the NBA you can still be effective we've seen that many times.

He is an ineffective selfish player who refuses to play winning basketball

Don't place Tyson Chandler with Westbrook and Simmons.

Chandler never had touch around the rim like Brooks.

However another way you can make an impact and improve is by maxing out what your great at.

Chandler was a great athlete and defender. He became a leader in the court and off the court. A defensive anchor winning Defensive Player of the Year.

He was key in the Mavs winning the championship as he covered for Dirk. Chandler was cold as fukk on defense
The other thing is Tyson was a great leader.

Also, brehs don’t remember Tyson Chandler came into the NBA trying to be a perimeter player. I would say he changed his game a lot and found what he was great at. Nothing is wrong with being a rim runner and lob threat.

This, coupled with playing with Giannis which has enabled him hide his other flaws.

Giannis doesn’t get enough credit for how he makes flawed players look better than they’re. And all these players are always out of the league after leaving Bucks by 2yrs max. Bledsoe, DiVicenzo (should be out of the league in 2yrs), Hill & Matthews were unplayable when they left Bucks, etc.

This is a shytty and false take. Hill, Bledsoe was already at the end of their careers when they was in Milwaukee aint have much to do with flaws. Bledsoe was a top 10 PG in the league in Phoenix. George had great seasons pre Giannis and was already declining in Cleveland and Sac before he went there Donte is having the best season of his career right now in Golden State.

If anything playing with Giannis limits Brooks game since he barely get to post up with Giannis who needs shooting and spacing around him more than any other superstar due to the limitations in his halfcourt game. Anytime Giannis fouls out or doesn't play Brook goes to work and shows hes one of the best post bigs when he gets touches he just gave to spot up and space the floor for Giannis. Outside of passing and playmaking Brook is one of the most complete centers in the game and been for years aint not much holes there.

This what he did in the ECF after Giannis got hurt and was out to send em to finals. And Clint Capella was his matchup who was top 5 in DPOY voting.

yo i was just thinking about this the other night

he was soft in new jersey and had limited range

now hes hitting step backs and is a low post anchor on defense. pretty insane...i also sometimes wonder why robin hasnt really done the same thing close to the same degree as brook..brook was always considered better but their games were similar..now its not even close
Nah, Robin was never near as skilled as Brook offensively. Or as good as him defensively. Robin seems to have maxed out on who he was ever gonna be.

Game high 25 points on 12/17 being defended by Bam Adebayo a top 5 DPOY and one of the best defenders for years now. Already sonned Bam on both ends last time they played in playoffs too.

Not surprising if you paid attention specially what he did to Clint Capela in the ECF without Giannis too when Clint was top 5 in DPOY that season.

At this point you gotta be braindead to deny how good Brook is and Jrue, Middleton and Brook are all great wtihout Giannis. Brook been a top 5 center this season and he cooks even more without Giannis that been the case for years. He can post up much more and they run more shyt through him since he dont got to spread out the floor for Giannis drives and just be camped at the line to compensate for Giannis.

The thing is though he can still eat next to Giannis. Since the all-star break he's averaged 20 ppg on 59/38/78 splits. The problem is the Bucks just forget to get him involved sometimes. They did it in game 1 and Giannis only played a quarter and a half.
