Have there been any players that were bad in college or let's just say their stats didn't jump out? But they became good to great nba players.

Zach Lavine averaged 9 pts his own season. In Russell Westbrooks freshman season he averaged 3 pts in less mins than Bronny and jumped up to 12 in the next year. Difference being these guys had the height in their favor.

PBronny is undersized, didn’t perform in college or high school(somehow McD all American with 14/5 rebs) and is now going to face players even bigger/faster than he has ever had success against. Sad that he’s going to catch negativity because his dad wants to “fulfill a dream” (ie add to his “legacy”) but maybe it works out or he finds something he’s willing to do and his dad is willing to invest in that over his own public perception

Lol yeah. Comparing him to Westbrook is blasphemy. Westbrook is an ELITE athlete, at worst he was gonna be a high energy sixth man, but as you can see we got a MVP. Russell Westbrook's floor is the sears tower compared to Bronny James ceiling.

Not going pretend to be an expert on 2nd round contracts but this seems unusual
One of the things I remember from the Hinkie era was that it was smart to accumulate 2nd round picks because they weren't guaranteed and you had a chance to take more risks without being locked in like a 1st rounder. why would a team give a 4 yr contract guaranteed to a late 2nd rounder
Maybe things have changed with the salaries going up though :hubie:

of course but they usually stay in school longer or have to fight there way into the league as an UFA

rarely just given 4 year deals
