Hip hop used to cater to bm (always leaned more male) and BW. Now it caters to bm solely who pawg, paag, palm. BW are simply tolerated on the rare occasion. It’s ok for me it’s never been my favourite black art form. But it’s clear it’s become anti BW. You dont even see BW in hip hop venues or at radio stations or their presence behind the scenes anymore. It’s all Asians/white females/white Latinas.

did nikkas in this thread even watch the video? he was talking about empowering black women, and specifically mentioned giving his daughter knowledge of self and the tools needed to foster her self esteem so she knows who she is and never questions how beautiful she is regardless of what the mainstream standard of beauty is.

then he said that generally speaking, you don't really see other races disrespecting their women in terms of "you look like this" or "you're this" or "you're that", you don't see it as much. one could argue that by being black we are going to macro and micro analyze black interactions but still, there's a substantial amount of anecdotal evidence that corroborates what he's saying. As a BW I’ll tell you what makes me mad about black men. Y’all talk a big game but very few of you are actually doers. And when once decent leader goes out that’s a wrap for a very long time. I am not looking for black men to become like Asian or white men. But to adopt some of their good qualities which is to put the interests of their group (which would benefit you too in the long run) over immediate gratification/pleasure and to see value in your own women and children. Racial/social/economic inequality aside, when you look at the two largest racial/ethnic groups in America (Whites/Hispanics) and realize that a good % of white women are pampered and have the freedom to live carefree and surprisingly even a decent amount of the daughters of Mexican undocumented immigrants being pampered until adulthood/young-adulthood, you start to notice this care is absent for a larger percentage of black girls.
