The Brits only get the roles because they’re cheaper than ADOS actors and are just happy to be here, safe negroes.

This is happening in all of Hollywood
one of my favorite characters recently is “Homelander” From the series “The Boys” is a character that represents the veneer of America and all its toxicness . He’s played by a Kiwi (New Zealander) and he absolutely does a great job.
it’s so many layers to this that I don’t even know where to start.
Some reasons I agree with: Foreign actors are by and large trained thespians and grow up being groomed to take the art of the craft seriously.
we need more funding in America, especially in impoverished communities For the arts to be cultivated and taken seriously. Kids in The UK are learning And doing Shakespeare at 9 years old.
I don’t agree with lowballing American actors who are qualified and running to get a foreign actor for cheap when the American wants more money.
but now we are talking about the Business of Capitalism
* I know and have worked with many actors that can turn an American accent on and off between takes and it never ceases to impress me.
