At the very least it gave me a chance to laugh at that press conference again. Dan Campbell's was wild too.
Stephen A said the Giants are the only team in the NFL not to hire a Black Coach.
And it's already been debunked multiple times in here.

Please find the black head coaches the Giants, Patriots, or Rams have had in their history ... ?

Outside of the Caldwell comments, this is the first thing that has made me question Flores. Everyone's initial reaction was that Belichick was either sparking a bomb on purpose or in some other way helping Flores with this. Now Flores is complaining that his former employer and the greatest coach of all time was involved in the hiring process? I can't name any good jobs that don't reach out to former managers or employers in some way. Hell, I would assume that the Dolphins reached out to him when they hired Flores in the first place.
Do I PERSONALLY think Belichick has too much influence and sway over owners/GMs? Of course because I'm a Detroit Lions fan, and we went through a disaster with a former Patriots slappy who turned out to be a fukking trainwreck. In fact most former Patriots coaches turn out to be disasters. But from a hiring perspective...again, why wouldn't the GOAT coach get asked about his former employees.
End of the day it's gonna come down to racism and how people perceive black talent vs white intelligence. Black coaches have traditionally been viewed as less intelligent, more emotional...the brutes you bring in to train the younger brutes. While white coaches are the geniuses, the boy wonders, etc. And even when a legendary white coach cosigns his guys - like Reid with Bienemy, it's not enough for owners/GMs. I said weeks ago that Flores was likely gonna have to sit or become a DC somewhere, because coaches rarely get fired and immediately get another HC spot. But the fact that it's February and Todd Bowles and Leslie Fraizer are clearly not getting hired tells you everything you need to know. It's about young coaches until it's about experience. It's about experience until it's about young coaches. Whatever the black coach offers, the team miraculously finds a way to look for the opposite.
Or he knew who got the job before the general public or even another candidates like himself.Yeah he was tweaking.
I could understand if he said they were the last team to have a black QB start a game but the head coach thing was crazy. Glad they corrected him a few seconds after.
He's saying/hinted the league colludes behind the scenes on a lot of things. Which, we've seen before (Kaepernick, the un-capped season).
I don't think he has an issue with being asked about Daboll or himself since they worked in NE.

No one juelzing for the Giants has anything to say about that. lol

Keep thinking that shyt if you wantJust like any job they call the references. They asked Bellicheck about Flores he probably gave him a good word probably did say "He can be tough at times on his players". Daboll worked under Belli for 11 years. He was the Assistant Head Coach in 2013 . Best believe Belli got Daboll hired over Flores. Trust if Belli gave Flores a good word,Flores would be coaching Giants.
