Good response from Kenny Stills

That % target misses the point, but I like how he addressed multiple angles of the issue.
I want to expand on this because I really think that % target that Kenny (and others) use really shows how little we understand the situation at hand. This is about power, not representation or diversity. Coaches and GMs have power over personnel and influence business operations. Didn't Bob McNair compare racial protests to "inmates running the prison". First, that wasn't only about protests. Secondly, Black coaches are included in that phrasing too. To quote Lupe "you a prisoner too / you living here too / you just like us / til your shift get through".

If 60% of head coaches in the NFL were black that would correlate with the GMs, scouts, water boys - it would ripple all the way down to high school sports and back BECAUSE COACHES HAVE POWER. Every position of employment in football outside of the role of athlete is dominated by whites. We always talk about the % of players and coaches, but what about the team physicians? What about the medical staff and strength & conditioning teams? This is not only about Black coaches. This is about the relationship that Blacks have with the NFL and corporations as a whole.

Each sports team operates as its own ecosystem within the larger settler-colonial paradigm. You can't allow those on the bottom of the social order to have power. Those on the bottom have different goals in life and a different connection to society. All of these owners got into football to make money off a sport at the expense of tax payers. What happens when 60% of ALL paid staff is Black and all business decisions come with financial and physical consequences? Can you still rob taxpayers blindly? Can you still steal teams from cities without punishment? Can you still demolish housing to expand your stadium property?

This is not only about Black coaches. This is about power.

The virtual lynching is happening right now. Comment sections on all the major sports sites are going completely unmoderated and old white men and young cac neo n azis calling Flores a liar and saying racist shyt. The white owners and GMs are following their lead in the last few days coming out calling Flores a liar and sites are running those quotes as their lede with very little pushback.

This is Kap shyt all over again.

How America can STILL TO THIS fukkING DAY sit back and watch these old white men spit in the face of facts/statistics and call Flores a liar is DISGUSTING.

Above the fray.
Bill Beli mixed up the Brians in his phone, txt the black one instead of the white one and has added so much fukkery.

Flores should keep his foot on their neck if he has evidence.
Beli is meticulous about details.
I don't buy that part of the story.

If Mr Flores had an uncommon first name? Maybe.

But Beli probably knows 20 Brians in the football world. Hell, he coaches in metro Boston.....one of the Irish capitals of America. There are probably 7 Brians on the block he lives on.

Why does Stephen A continue to go on TV and say the Giants are the only team to never hire a Black Coach? And nobody on the panel calls him out.

Edit:. The producer must've told Molly to mention 6 other teams also never hired a Black Coach.
Out of the teams named in the suit they are the only Ones with that star. Denver and Miami have had a Black coach.

Even that rule is kinda half assed imo.

But gotta start somewhere I guess
It incentivizes sham interviews but it does put some black faces in the room. I wonder in its absence if the league would have even thought about doing it given how some beliefs they held about black players in positions like QB and centers. Incidentally the English Premier League there was talk about introducing a Rooney rule because it has rarely ever had black coaches

TYRONE GA!
these owners/gms are always gotta be inherently biased towards those that they can relate with and look like them. No matter how much less credibility and experience they have versus black candidates.

Bomani said a lot of cacs in general do not believe that black people are smart, esp compared to them. He's absolutely right. "Smart" nikkaz are looked at like Unicorns in walks of society.

Look at the "genius" label that gets attached to white coaches....you ever get that for black coaches?

How come we always seem to come from the defensive side of the ball? Not smart enough to coach offense, but smart enough to stop em huh :skip:

Black coaches always had to have played in the league to even get chances on staffs and try to work their way up. COUNTLESS white coaches haven't touched an NFL field and get put on.

shyt is disgusting.

Beli texting Flores is most likely an accident. And he definitely didn't do it to get back at Goodell/the league/The Giants. For him to be that calculating he would have to know that Flores would start a Lawsuit based off the text. He couldn't know that beforehand.

I def think it's an accident as well now. But what a fukkup to make. :mjlol:

So now :beli: gotta out who tipped him off if he gets subpoenaed. :mjlol:

The Giants denying what the text clearly shows us these white people have 0 shame. He knew who was getting the job beforehand and what he said is exactly what happened. To act like, "Bill's text is bullshyt." now is just "Wow." Just take notes, we can't show any mercy in this fight cause they definitely ain't.

He has a point about Bienemy. If that gm didn't take him, it looks really bad. Especially when u would think they needed an offensive coach. The nygiants guy signed daboll quick as hell

No he doesn't have a point.

People say Bieniemy success is due to Mahomes, Hill and Kelce like he didn't win 10 games with Alex Smith in his first year as OC, who had his best season as a pro with Bieniemy as OC. How can someone say it's because of the talent when so many OC still got HC jobs off the strength of coaching a wealth of talent?

  • Mike Martz was the OC of the Greatest Show On Turf in 99 and had a HC job waiting for him in 00
  • Brian Billick was the OC of the 98 Vikings and had a HC job with BAL the very next season
  • Josh McDaniels was the OC of the 07 Pats and he's now on his second HC job
  • Adam Gase was the OC of the 13 Broncos and had 2 HC jobs
  • Kyle Shanahan was the OC of the 16 Falcons and had a job with SF the following season.
  • Etc. Etc.
See how all those coaches had all time talent at their disposal as OC? Guess what? It didn't stop them from getting a head coaching job so why is it only an argument for Bieniemy?

Then you got bullshyt like this

  • The NFL has literally employed racists, alcoholics, drug addicts, domestic abusers, rapist, frauds, murderers, etc. as players, coaches, staff and owners. Miss me with the NFL being a model organization.
  • He was only OC at Colorado for 2 years and they haven't been relevant for 30 years when HE led Colorado to a Natty as RB in 1990
  • They don't give him credit for his success with MJD at UCLA and Adrian Peterson at Minnesota
Then they give the credit to Andy Reid for the playcalling, but Reid literally came out and dead that shyt when he said "EB calls the plays". Guess what? The media chose to ignore it. THAT should've been a story.

McDermott, Harbaugh, Nagy and Pederson all got HC jobs after working under Reid so why hasn't Bieniemy? Especially, since Reid confirmed he calls the plays.

Kevin O'Connell was just named HC of the Vikings off the success of the Rams this season. Does he not have a crazy amount of talent in Stafford, Cam, Kupp, OBJ, Woods, Jefferson and Higbee? Isn't he not coaching under an "offensive genius" in McVay? You know what the kicker is? He doesn't even call the fukkin plays! Every false argument on Bieniemy could be used for O'Connell yet he winds up with a job.

And as far as the Bears opening you really think an NFL team is going to have a black GM, black HC and a black franchise QB? He couldn't even get an interview. I will say a part of the blame falls on Nagy and his failure as a Reid disciple.

Then there's the "can't interview" argument. You mean to tell me that a National Champion, Heisman trophy finalist as a player, 4x AFC finalist in 5 years, 2x AFC winner, 1x Super Bowl champ as a coach who ran the offense under the legendary Andy Reid can't interview better than a young coach with minimum experience? :camby:
