Owners are exposed on this one. Flores and Jim Caldwell are proof positive that the only time the NFL isnt 'results based' is when it comes to black HCs. What Flores is doing today, Caldwell could've done three years ago.

Winning is not enough with black HCs. Every time Tomlin doesn't make playoffs they want to fire him in Pittsburgh, even though he's never finished under .500.

Sh*t is sickening.

The Texans bout to hire Josh McCown. Judge this is exhibit A...give me my money

I had to Google this since I couldn't recall whose staff he was on but he was coaching high school :mindblown:

Not even the head coach but a WR coach :heh:

Flores was the first candidate they interviewed. You pass on him for a guy who coached at Rusk High School?

i personally always felt backup or journeyman QBs would make excellent coaches just because they have seen and learned so many systems and the fact that a backups role is basically to just study. But when I say coach I mean like an assistant or QB coach, or AT BEST OC.

To make this dude head coach from jump is just ridiculous. And more proof why the losers of the league stay losers.

Caldwell got fired after winning in DETROIT, it’s probably the most egregious firing ever.

Hell the Bears fired Lovie Smith after a winning season for *checks notes* Marc Trestman? :scust:

So the notion that a sport with a 70 percent Black male labor force somehow cannot launch a league with more racially diverse ownership is based on fear of Black ownership and control alone, not the historical reality.

Many are more concerned with being well-compensated employees, without any power to hire, fire or acquire.

Where you from?

The NFL is doomed in this particular case by the raw data. There is nothing showing the white HCs they jump out the window for are more successful than the few minorities they allow in.

So in the end, the NFL arguing for continuity of discriminatory hiring practices is all they're left with. Essentially 'The Emperor With No Clothes' on defense. Just cause they say it's not discrimination doesn't mean it's not. Too much info on the other side now.
