Boris won? :francis:

What does that portend for the US of A? :lupe:
Nothing at all.

I feel like 2020 here in the US will be more like Trudeau's victory in 2015 but on a smaller scale (Dems win back the White House, keep the House but either fail to win back the Senate or only win a slim majority).

Of course, Trump can win re-election but the UK's politics is different from the US's politics.

if this brings about brexit ASAP then that was a great day. i really just want to watch this play out.
I'm not a supporter of Brexit at all. If I was British, I would be a solid Remain voter. However, they just need to get on with it already. They should have already left the EU.

Not only because it will teach a lot of those racist English mfers a hard but well-deserved lesson but because they had 3 years to come up with a plan. They don't need anymore time. Just f*cking leave!

focusing on brexit is retarded, its the UK version of impeachment/russia gate. and the moderates in labour fukked corbyn by saying vote against him even though theyre in the same party. so many parallels to the US, guarantee if bernie wins the nom youre gonna have half the party saying they wont vote for him. i want to see it just to expose you moderate "lib dem" hypocrites

Actually, US and UK politics have mirrored each other for quite some time

Reagan - Thatcher trickle down in the 80s

Clinton - New Labour triangulation in the 90s

Iraq War in the 2000s

Trump and Brexit in 2016

Labour and Democrats face similar challenges in terms of losing working class (largely racist/xenophobic) white voters in the industrial belt who used to form a large part of their base

Corbyn and the leadership tried to not focus on Brexit. Their strategy was to hope that other issues cut through and that Brexit wouldn't dominate. That worked largely in 2017, but not in 2019.

I agree with you about the Labour "moderates." They spent the last 4 years openly trashing Corbyn during every opportunity they got, and then complained that he was toxic to voters
:francis:

I agree with you that if Bernie wins the nomination, there will be many high profile dems who will refuse to back him. It might even happen if Warren is the nominee.

In 2017 they did say respect the referendum and get a better deal than May

This is just really sad.

Corbyn, to me, comes as off one of the most decent, caring, genuine, and likeable politicians.

He put forth a bold program to help the most vulnerable and address the big challenges of the day.

And he got crushed.

It's no wonder this world is going to shyt
:francis:

Corbyn is literally my neighbor
You will just see him on road with his wife talking to people

Boris used to live near ya and as soon as he became Mayor Of London few years ago he moved.

Jeremy stayed in the hood even though he didn’t have to

What’s crazy is

Corbyn in 2017 and 2019 secured more votes than Blair in 2005, Brown in 2010 and Miliband in 2015.

Labour did well in its heartlands two years ago. Looking at the data so many of these seats they lost were marginal :wow:

What is the Black British take on Boris and all this? This may sound naive but is this going to be like a n*gga wake up call for the Black and mixed British who have forgotten about the likes of Enoch Powell ,etc? I'm not one of those Coli posters who think you all are c00ns or nothing and there isn't much you can move the needle with your small percentage of the population but I have a feeling White Brits may start getting bold and open with their feelings like we saw after Trump 2016.

I can imagine upped police presence and incarceration for the "knife crime epidemic" and we know who that's going to be for :francis:

White English were threatened by the Polish immigration in factories/constructions. Nobody will get as flagrant as American cacs.

So, where should I move too...the options are;
1. Back to the Netherlands
2. Paris
3. Sweden
4. Denmark

Paris ? :laff::laff::laff:
