midterms, Json?
Midterms aren’t the entire nation full focused. The Dems lost seats in the Senate which are statewide. House yes, county by county the Dems can pick off.

Roy Moore barely lost his special election in 2017 and is wasn’t cause of the white people of Alabama “let’s ban all abortions” doing the right thing. Put that election in a presidential election year and the outcome being the same is in doubt.

Idk

You might look down on Roy Moore with your Central VA sensibilities but he's a God in Alabama.

I’m originally from Mississippi. I know the area.

Then shouldn't we truly be celebrating the fact that he was actually defeated all things considered?

Despite the odds the Dems were able to overcome adversity and prevent the Republicans from making a child grooming pedophile an United States Senator in Alabama.

That seems like a pretty fukking heavy lift to me.

The point of my original post you replied to was connecting it to what’s going on in Europe.

Despite years of seeing what Brexit is, could, and will do. How inept the politicians who pitched it were. They and the Bannon right are still gaining power in the EU.

So the idea that the same right wing populism is on the way out and taking Trump with it isn’t panning out. Be prepared for a mixed judgment here as well. Especially if we’re depending on the Conservative, independent in certain states to swing forcefully back the other way.

Especially a year out when Trump and is cronies haven’t played their slimey cards to re-elect him yet.

I didn't think Brexit would pass originally but one of my English friends was positive it would....

I think they got they just got the perfect storm of years of austerity, lies, and an all out disinformation campaign(even from their own politicians) and now they are where they are... I think their political class is completely inept left and right but I'm starting to feel like corruption and dark money rule the day on this. I'm biased but anyone with a basic understanding of trade and economics should see leaving the EU as completely insane economically and politically in this day and age. Maybe it's me?

Anyways sounds like the nationalists kinda shyt the bed tonight from what I read about EU elections but I think tomorrow we'll have a better picture

All we can do is stay active and vote
