I dunno, I feel like some guys take shots cause they are bitter and need the exposure or whatever...

but I legit get the vibe that Bret just doesn't give a fukk any more and just says what he honestly thinks of people. He's got nothing to lose and he's set.

He goes in on some guys (HHH, Flair) but he has nothing but good things to say about a ton of the new guys, as well as Austin, Rock, Taker, Foley etc etc...

Ok there was nWo and....ummmmm...errrrr.... :ld:

Sting not wrestling for 18 months and evolving into The Crow character had to have been at least approved by Bischoff, and that helped WCW and Nitro stay red hot for way longer than it would have just from the initial Outsiders jump/Hogan turn.

You know Coke Boy and them would have never had the kind of patience to let it build like that. Look how they did CM Punk's "contract expired" shyt in the summer if '11. Phil was back on TV like a week later.

what do ya'll mean Vince fcked bret over? Vince asked Bret to do his job, and it was a reasonable request....drop the title to a major star at SS '97. I know Bret has used the out that he had "creative control", but that comes with a caveat. The contract read that Bret had "reasonable" creative control, which Ive interpreted as Vince not having the capacity to humiliate Bret, or make Bret do anything that would be in clear breach of his moral character. Sure, I get that he didnt like HBK, and the match was in Canada (the match was in Montreal...so it was his home country not hometown. Kinda like HBK saying he wouldnt do a job in the United States), but reasonable creative control doesnt mean Bret owns the company and gets to call all the shots.

Bret tried to put the screws to Vince because he really didnt want to leave, and out of spite over his feud with HBK. Lets not try to paint Bret as the innocent party here. For as much of an ahole as HBK was, Shawn was roughly a decade younger than Bret. Bret, oddly enough, lacks a great deal of maturity and thats been proven throughout his career.

With all that said, fck Eric Bischoff. Dude is such a dyckhead, and never takes the high road. Ever.

How about giving us more than a smiley and tell us why you believe he's wrong

fukk Bischoff. If it wasnt for Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff would still be selling MEAT out of a truck in Minneapolis.

honestly outside of what happened in montreal, the fact was he turned down a 10 million dollar 3 year offer from wcw, do the math on that, at least twice what he was making....he turned it down to accept vinces offer to stay, with most of it being backlogged...then a year later he was told by vince that contract would put the entire company under. that was a huge factor outside the screwjob...he does sound bitter, but i think that is just his tone, its not like he ever used much energy in his interviews, hes just saying what he feels and doesnt care....

and @SilkkTheStalker

you watch many shoots? most people are bitter towards one thing or time in their career....bret just happens to be bitter about his wcw run. :manny:

I appreciate that, but the fact of the matter is that he made that decision largely because he knew he would be a focal point in the WWE, and in WCW he would be just another name. Bret valued his ego and the prestige that came along with being a champion above money. He just wasnt drawing as a WWE star, and with the WWE looking to move in a different direction (and knowing bret would bytch about its adult nature), they had to make a business decision to save the company. Not that it was all Bret's fault, but the WWE was losing millions every year revolving the company around him.
