lets face facts.

bret was the man in the WWF, but he didn't stand out like that in WCW.

- his main schtick was being the best worker in the WWF. but the best match on a WWF was usually the equivalent of a 3rd or 4th best match on a WCW show.
- he didn't have the marque name value, star-power, persona, overall presence or mic skills to match the big dog main eventers in WCW.

aint nothing wrong with being a special referee.

instead of making excuses, lets talk about the lack of interest the crowd had in bret hart from the start.

he gets the red carpet grand entrance rollout, being introduced to the WCW audience, only to receive lukewarm reactions from the crowd each time.

then hes given big programs as the hot new top-tier face and the crowd sides with the heel darn near everytime.

im loving how some of the speakers on the viceland doc tried to run the WWE narrative out of habit, not realizing that this is an unbiased platform.

they looked like idiots when hall & bischoff were allowed to spit the real.

Every few months @Wacky D posts some ol' bullshyt.. Bret Hart had a legacy of being a great worker back then. There's a story of Flair going to Bret and saying "teach me" when Bret got a classic out of Bulldog.

Bret had 2 classics with Austin many regard his match with Austin at WM13 as the greatest wrestlemania match ever.

Of late people have gone back to see if Bret really was the best back then and everyone keeps arriving at the same conclusion that he was unbelievable.

Even people who said he was boring had to eat their words in '97 because Bret's heel run helped turn the company around and he unlike others put over Austin and helped make him a big star.. to this day Austin credits Hitman with that and Rock credits Hitman for holding him down too because the kliq wanted to bury The Rock.

HitGOAT don't have to prove anything to bums
