On the Wrestling Audience Changing In The Late 1990s: "Wrestling was everything for everyone. Then it turned to concentrating on certain audiences in the late 90s when the wrestling fans were cheering bad guys, and it wasn't any fun anymore. Grandpa and grandma weren't going anymore. It wasn't a family atmosphere. It was guys with beer guts and rednecks; they weren't good fans. They were just there to get drunk. Not all fans were like that, but it got too rowdy for young kids. Now it's more acceptable."

Yes. The Late 90s were the most profitable times in wrestling history. Who is he to determine what fans are good and bad?

Didn't know the topic was about how profitable wrestling was at the time. :mjpls:

Making the product soft and predictable definitely is bringing money in, eh? Bret is a legend but a business man? He'll never be.

People always ask him questions and he answers. I don't think it's whining. He isn't seeking out these fagats so that he can give an interview.

I think he'll always be bitter about the attitude era.

Biggest era in wrestling history which he wasn't a part of, and was ushered in partly by his two mortal enemies at the time (HBK, Vince).

One of the few legends from the past who's opinion i actually care about.

His gripes about different aspects of the business are on point more often then not, but he does sometimes tend to protect his wrestling character in certain situations when discussing his era
