Movie was trash, this is what happens in the whole movie so you guys don't have to go through that.

Boy goes into the woods, gets bit by a witch and gets sick. He starts shouting some demonic shyt, dies, dad accuses his 3 kids of being demons or some shyt and locks them in the barn. A witch goes in the barn at night and eats the 2 kids i'm guessing then in the morning the goat kills the dad and the last kid kills the mom because she starts attacking her. She runs in the woods, runs into the goat which turns into a human and he asks her if she wants to be a witch. She says yeah and ends up finding a witch circle, she joins the circle, loses her mind then starts laughing while floating in the air

Of course some philistine on thecoli would marginalize the film to this.

It's probably the best film about witches and the patriarchal construct around them that I've seen. While the dialogue was tough to digest and does take away from its scope, I understand why it was a necessary element. Definitely not a film for everybody, especially if you can't be bothered with subtext.

The father was full of pride. His son was full of lust, easily tempted and seduced, the mother was full of fear, didnt place her burden and fears on God but rather became a bytch and was acting scared all the time.

Its pretty simple to understand. Its the fathers pride that got them kicked out the plantation, forced to hunt which the father sucks at but wont admit.

The opening scene with the witch grounding the newborn to bits. She used his remains to appear young with black magic

Nah she uses the baby to fly. And later the witches do the same with the twins, that's why they fly.

It's crazy because witches were some of the first people to perform abortions. The entire point of drowning witches to see if they could fly was to determine if they had killed children.

retard, they marketed the film as horror when it wasn't horror. they did that bc that's the only way people would see the movie. I know this bc i followed the movie for damn near two years before it came out. that's precisely why it was such a letdown. you know, you come on here with your lil prissy self, looking down your nose at everyone as if you're so goddamn superior to everyone else and you're a laughingstock on this board because of it. never said the movie was great. i thought it was very stupid, yet it has 90% rating on RT.

i just couldn't believe that they would put a scene such as THAT in the first 15 minutes of the movie.

Terrible movie though. I checked the discussion on reddit, and there are some real psychos on there discussing the movie. But i never understood anything that happened.

Another reason idgaf about ratings.

I thought this shyt was gonna be lit as well according to the reviews. I ended up fast forwarding through most of it. The kids was annoying af, their talking was annoying, etc.

It was just a stale ass movie
