I agree with this but it's easier said than done. I think Glover, rashad, rampage & vitor all had similiar gameplans to pressure & win the clinch but when you're getting hit with those painful oblique kicks then it changes your gameplan because you can't close the distance. If DC stays on the outside this fight will get ugly fast for him because jones will simply pick him apart like he has done everyone not named gus, the thing that has made JBJ great is the fact he knows how to use every bit of his length to his advantage.
Personally I would like to see DC win but it would crazy to compare the heavyweights DC has beaten to a guy like jones, jones is in another world compared to those guys. DC has been a star in the making for a while & he will finally get his chance on the biggest stage possible in mma to take down a guy who know one(other than gus) has figured out how to beat.

Not to get into your argument with the other gentlemen in this thread, but I have to ask what are you basing this claim on?? His accomplishments in the wrestling world, or his effectiveness and technique inside the octagon, because if thats the case I have to strongly disagree. Is DC a great wrestler? YES of course. But he is not the most accomplished, especially considering we have guys like Henry Cejudo(who is in the UFC now) who have actually won gold, and if we are talking technique and effectiveness then how could you rank DC over a guy like GSP. His technique is flawless, his ability to set up take downs, finish them and chain them together(like how he goes from superman punch, to a duck under, to a double leg and chains that to a single leg lol) he is ahead of his time. IMO

I'm speaking on MMA, he's done things in the octagon no other wrestler has, this isn't wrestling its fighnting and he's the best at applying those wrestling techniques in a real fight
