Jones got taken down by a fukkin lanky cac with no wrestling..... he's getting taken down and will get pounded on. We will see Jon jones jiujitsu which I feel is the only thing that can save him. Cut stoppage or BRAZILLIAN JIUJITSU :blessed:

Gus took him down, yeah. But Jones and everybody knows hes fighting a wrestler this weekend. I'm sure his TDD game will be as on point as it can possibly be. Also DC just trying to bully Jones sounds like a disaster, but then again, he doesn't have much choice. BJJ Jones? Fukk it, I'm down to see another triangle. Who's the last to even win a LHW fight with triangle? I can't even remember.

Jones' top jiu jitsu is pretty sick, but I wonder what his bottom game is like. I don't know anything about it and I've never seen it.

I don't see him sweeping DC, and definitely not subbing him off his back. Jones' jiu jitsu is best on top when he can slide those long ass arms in for chokes from crazy distances and angles.

I know he's really strong with those prayer guillotines, high elbow guillotines, darces, and anacondas. I feel like the Americana/keylock is also very reliant on physical attributes at a certain level, and Jones is the only person to ever land one in a title fight in UFC history as far as I know (on Vitor Belfort). He just got those baby giraffe arms figure foure'd up and had so much leverage to drag that arm down by the hip. Nasty finish right there.

I love how that one clip exposed jon jones for the fraud I always knew he was. Its hilarious when he realizes hes on live :laff:
Jon jones likes to hurt people. You need to stop beliving corporate promotions and understand that these guys fight for a living. That means they enjoy making people bleed and possibly die.

Yep. It's a different breed. There's a guy that I don't want to put on blast, but he's the head grappling coach at one of the best MMA gyms in the world. He coached on a TUF season. He's ridiculous. Armbars from hell, super fast, very dynamic and explosive, super technical and precise. Great grappling career. He's broken several arms. The point is that he's high level and doesn't have a problem hurting people if he has to.

One time after a seminar he was saying that he did an MMA fight or two, and that the feeling when punching another guy after mounting him, of the facial bones and the skull even through the padding of the MMA gloves. The sound of his knuckles smashing into the guy's face and teeth. He said it was too much and that he just didn't have it him. he said it bothered him and stuck with him for a while. He said he didn't even mind getting punched, but that throwing bomb after bomb on this guy and waiting for the ref to come in and stop it was damn near traumatic for him. Again, he was a professional athlete that destroyed quite a few elbows and shoulders on the mat. He loves MMA and is frequently in the corners of some of the best fighters in the UFC, but he just said he would never want to be on the other side of the cage again.

It takes a different kind of cat to go in there and do MMA. I couldn't do it. I used to want to, but I have no interest anymore.

Plus lets not celebrate empty takedowns too much. That's an awful trend in MMA judging.

It really is. I was hoping that maybe Tony Ferguson vs Danny Castillo was a sign that the trend (empty takedown = win) is ending, since Ferguson won (rightfully so IMO) but I think it was just a rare good decision in a series of bad ones. I don't know what has to happen for that trend to go away.

There is an underrated phrase in fighting that goes over a lot of peoples heads,

Killer Instinct.

*o such and such is good but i dunno, i dont know if he has that killer instinct you know*
You have to train a while, be a psycho who has hurt people, be in the military or be the type of person to have hurt people in street business to understand what this really means. It means exactly what it says. Theres something in some people that give them an advantage over others in fights and its the desire to not just defend themselves but the desire to want to kill the person they're fighting and to actively persue this goal. Jon Jones kicking people in their knees the way he does and those elbows is really a testament to how bad he really wants to fukk someone up. As corny as he sounded saying he would kill Cormier if he spit on him, i believed him.

Definatey met some killer mma coaches. Cats will be tatted to the gills tryin to act all polite and kind, then you see them actually blow up on someone and its like . Yea, this guy here...... :patrice:

Okay, to clarify, the bet is whether or not Jones significantly outwrestles Cormier? If he does, you win the bet, if he doesn't, I win? What will we be basing it on, popular sentiment (if the outcome is obvious) or something like Fightmetric going by the number of takedowns?

I'm with my breh Cormier no matter what.

:mjlol: at dudes on first page sayin Jones ain't that big, its just the camera angle. DC is 5'11 Jones 6'4. Jones frame is lot bigger. DC is a fat ass, need to tone up a lot. Would probably put him in a lower weight class but he ain't gonna see the lhw title ever so.
