DC Police start off close to $50k. My aunt is a DC Police Officer and with overtime clears $100k per year. She has either 22 or 23 years of service.

I even tried out for DC Police, got either a 94 or 96 on my test but then I dropped out. If you don't want to be a DC Officer, you also have the choice of applying for Capital Police, Secret Service, Metro Police, or any of the local precints (i.e. PG Police, Montgomery County, etc).

That's where I'm trying to get to. Also looking at getting the hell up out of here as well. Moving here almost 3 yrs ago, I had big dreams but living in NoVa squashed all of that. Realizing now that I should've moved to MD from the jump (money would've stretched a bit longer). I'm at the far end of Fairfax county, damn near Loudon county, but it's worth it to a certain extent. I know I would've never made the contacts I've made if I never moved here but it's a town that ain't for everybody. I've seen cats move here and get caught up in the aura of the city and damn near broke trying to keep up appearances. Like mentioned before, IT, govt contracting, etc are the gigs to have. I know a few brothas that work on K St but they aren't happy there even tho they're making beaucoup bucks

you in the richest county in the nation breh

I know too many people making bank as a cop. The idea of handling perps though :merchant: I'm too small for that.

Now, I just found out that all you need to get a school leadership license (to be an AP) in DC is a Masters, a couple years teaching experience, and a passing score on the leadership exam :leon: took a practice exam and that shyt is a joke :bryan: Six figures with a few hrs overtime in your first year :ahh:
