Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on that Mind Games Discovery set. Heard Double Attack, Grandmaster, and J'Adoube are really good.

I gave the J'Adoube sample to my girl after I tried it on Fri...it smells really good but I thought it leaned feminine

Can any of you recommend me a cologne in the price range 0-100 that smells good and last at least 6 hours?

Been using Versace but it doesn’t last long

Been using Versace but it doesn’t last long

1) Oil based colognes last longer than alcohol based ones.
2) What Versace?
3) What kind of scent are you looking for?

Eau fraiche
Right now looking something for the summer, something fresh

1) check out The Coli's own - www.fragrantbodyoilz.com - Go crazy, super affordable.
2) Eau Fraiche isn't supposed to last all day, it's meant to reapply. A lot of lighter colognes are like that.
3) Summer Options
  • Cheaper
    • Versace
      • Pour Homme - It's stronger than Eau Fraiche, but not an all day joint
      • Dylan Blue - Sorta, more shower gel than straight up citrus
    • Missioni - Wave
    • D&G - Light Blue Eau Intense
      • all of the light blues are citrusy and summery
    • Nautica - Voyage
  • Dept Store Prices
    • Armani
      • Acqua Di Gio Eau de Parfum
      • Acqua Di Gio Profondo
    • Dior - Sauvage
    • Chanel - Bleu De Chanel
    • Paco Rabanne - Invictus Aqua

I need to buy some new colognes for this week. Never really been fussy but I’ve got a few events coming up. Any recommendations? This thread is too long to go through.

for any other gym heads mont blanc legend spirit is the goat gym cologne. smells fresh and not too overwhelming.

also a good summer scent if your running errands and dont want to waste your more expensive heavy hitting cologne.

Yeah true, I wish it lasted longer tho

I've had Versace Pour Homme, I might actually just buy it again for the summer

I've had Amrani Acqua di Gio before and I enjoyed it

Never liked Dior Sauvage, not for me

Chanel Bleu De Channel is one of my favs, I've had like 3 bottles over the years

What are some other scents would you recommend, doesn't have to be fresh

I got like a million, big fan of cologne. I think every dude in here is. And I got a lot of scents. I try to wear something different every day, usually one before the gym, one after the gym. At this point, I could go a year without repeating a scent.

Not directed at you, I try to drop my rules as much as possible, for people that lurk
  • Realistically, you need good soap, good shampoo, good conditioner, good deodorant, good toothpaste, good mouthwash, and good dental health more than you need cologne.
  • Never blind a buy a bottle
  • Buy a decant (a sample bottle that they poured out from the big bottle into a small bottle - 2,3,5,10 and 30ml) at a place like decantX or Perfuuum, or Scent Split
  • Only buy the bottle after you finish the decant
  • And only buy the bottle on discount (with the exception of a few brands (like Chanel), everything goes on sale at 10-50-80%)
  • Bottles last forever. My bottle of Eau Fraiche lasted for 7 YEARS. I still got Tom Ford's Noir Extreme from when it first came out, got like 50% of it left.
  • IMO, your cologne collection should be mostly decants, because you're not gonna LOVE everything, even if you like most things.
  • When it comes to females - cologne is the finishing touch. If you got your gym game popping, your clothes game popping, and you're being social - hoes will flock to you, and use your cologne as an excuse, not as a reason to start to talking to you.
Everyday Joints/School Work
  • Bleu De Chanel - EDP or the Parfum Version
  • Green Irish Tweed - Fresh Cut Grass
  • Man in Black - Like Tobacco Vanilla, but with some florals
  • Gentleman EDP - Iris
  • Miami Duppy, Badlands, The Porter House - Black Owned Brand. All got good office scents, very generic/hard to describe
Clubs
  • Ultramale - sweet, pear
  • Ombre Leather - a sweet leather
  • Tobacco Blaze - raspberry shisha smoke
  • Lost Cherry - Cherry
  • I'm not gonna mention The Coli secret Weapon, but we talk about it a fair amount in the past 50 pages. Shout out to Sauvage though.
Dates
  • Tobacco Vanille - my favorite, tobacco, vanilla, clove, cinnamon
  • Tobacco Blaze - see above
  • Smoke (Akro) - summer time cook out
Cold Weather
  • Spicebomb Extreme - Christmas
  • Herod - dry, spicy tobacco
  • Sauvage Elixir - licorice
  • Gentleman Boisee - woody and iris
  • Gentleman Reserve Privee - iris and whisky for like 5 minutes
  • Stronger with You - sweet chestnut
  • Stronger with You Absolutely - chestnut and "rum"
  • Baraonda - Whisky
  • Plum in Cognac - Plum and Booze
  • Burberry London - Christmas
  • Rich Warm Addictive by Zara
  • Angel's Share - Apple Pie
Warm Weather
  • ADG Profondo
  • All the Scotch and Porters
  • Tiffany - Love and Co for Him
  • Chanel - Bleu De Chanel
  • Terre d' Hermes

Middle Eastern Flavor
  • Oud for Glory - It smells like "oud". First one I ever put my nose on. POWERFUL, Not for freshman, strictly for live men.
  • The One - Royal Night, Mysterious Night, Luminous Night - all 3 got rose, saffron, dates, oud,
  • Pour Homme Oud Noir - a designer oud, not as strong as Oud for Glory, but definitely smells woody/medicinal. As if Vicks Vaporub smelled good.
On a Personal, stuff I wear just for me
  • Tabac 28 - wet tobacco, so it can have that stank to it.
  • Musc Ravageur - spices, strong. Good, but strong
  • Tobacco Oud (Tom Ford) - Tobacco and Oud, comes together to be awesome
  • Habanos - Wet tobacco
  • Tabac (Aaron Terrence Hughes) - a like a diff tobacco oud.
  • Royal Tobacco (Amouage) - tobacco and frankincense. Smoking a pipe in the middle of Christmas Mass.
I was thinking about this yesterday cause I saw it on YT.

If I could only have 1 fragrance for every occasion - Tobacco Vanille (and I would buy the $10 body oil, not the $300 real version, because it only needs to sit close to the skin and last long for work and dates.)

2 Fragrances?
  1. TV (The Real Version) - for clubbing and dates and (running errands in the cold weather on the weekend, bump into a broad at the mall or something)
  2. Givenchy Gentleman EDP - for everyday at work
3 Fragrances
  1. TV For Dates
  2. Tobacco Blaze for Clubbing
  3. Gentleman EDP for Everyday
4 Fragrances
  1. TV For Dates
  2. Tobacco Blaze for Clubbing
  3. Gentleman EDP for Everyday in the Cold
  4. Bleu de Chanel Parfum for Everyday in Warm Weather

After 4 fragrances - I think about the Weather and Activity. So Spring Dates and Winter Work Days and Fall Clubbing, and Summer Errands.

Then 1-2 for "special occasions" - like weddings, hitting a play/opera/art gallery etc.
And then 1-2 just because I like the way they smell, even though they probably don't work for most situations I find myself in.

Meanwhile the actual me got like 60+ bottles, and 250+ 5ml samples, lol
