Booms are used on major movies all the time too, that's not it


They probably just aren't using a real professional sound department :yeshrug: cheap employees = bad quality


And the VAST majority of indie directors (movies, skits, reaction vids, regular YouTubers) completely drop the ball or straight up forget about having quality audio
