Nope. Read the edit, I forgot you were advocating for deni avdija at the time. That destroys your entire argument.
Deni for the Warriors > Wiseman for the Warriors.

And like I said at the time, it wasn't Deni who I was specifically advocating for, Deni was merely the type of player I wanted them to get. He was a representation of the type of player that fit with their identity, whether that be in the draft or through a trade for an already established player. If Deni was on the Warriors last season, he would've been looked at as a success. The Warriors could've easily traded down to grab him and another player in the draft too, so it wouldn't have even been just Deni. They could've got him and Haliburton.

He didn't have any opportunity to do anything on the Wizards last season, because Westbrook and Beal were too busy fighting over the ball.

I don’t really watch Golden state like that but does Wiseman have any positive attributes? Or is his development moving too slowly? I know it has to be tough for him considering how Lamelo exploded on the scene.

I posted this in the Warriors season thread:

Source Article by The Athletic's Anthony Slater - The Warriors’ second-season plan for James Wiseman, and how Dejan Milojević factors into it

- Getting Wiseman to be in more PnR, running simple actions
- Teaching him the fundamentals and basic footwork
- Playing him in the G-League as an option
- Year 3 is when they hope he can make the "most significant leap".

Essentially, they realize he has to be completely rebuilt, even teaching him the basics that a big man should already know coming into the league, and they're hoping he can be something next season. Not even worth trading this mf cause he has zero value. What a complete waste of time, resources, and a pick that could've gone to anything else and it would've been better. Literally anything.
Basic fundamentals & Footwork? Damn, this is worse than I thought

:russ: Dudes really didn’t watch him play last season if they’re still thinking he’s the missing piece

he’s supposed to be a paint protector but he’s always lost on defense and can’t protect the rim :mjlol:

Wish him the best- but someone like Dwight or even Noel would’ve had the dubs looking completely different last season (they do their job right)

I'm not saying he will be a bust, but a lot of #2 picks have been busts.

KD off the top of my head is the only #2 pick who was the best in his draft class in the past 25 years.

Straight from Flatbush
Breh, the Warriors told Melo they were picking him. He was holding up the deuce believing he was up next:

Jalen Rose: "And by the way, the night of the draft, the Golden State Warriors told LaMelo Ball they were going to take him next and they didn’t do it.”

David Jacoby: “Really?”

JR: “That story gonna come out soon.”

DJ: “Huh.”

JR: “They told him they was taking him and they didn’t do it. I was on the phone.”

DJ: “That’s rude.”

JR: “They told him they was goin to take him.”

Warriors are/were stocked to the rafters with wings. Didn’t hurt at the time to take a flyer on Wiseman. Not like it’s a franchise altering bad decision and he still may turn out to be something

You could never have enough wings in today's NBA but I understand your point. I believe the kid will be fine.

I won’t call Wiseman a bust, mostly because I barely watched him, but when you negate an offensive supernova like Steph the way Wiseman did last year, that leads to red flags.

Even if he looks like a special talent, you have late prime Steph and Draymond there. You need to win now, and not waste a high pick developing someone.

If the move is to get someone like Towns, and I’m unsure how, then Wiseman at least needs to show something.

The pick is definitely starting to look like pre-Stephnaisance Warriors.

This thread wont age well, the coli is the only place on the internet where Warriors fans arent willing to give Wiseman a chance before bushing him.
You the homie, but I distinctively remember you saying that he was going to prove all the doubters wrong this season. That's not looking likely at this stage, my friend.
