why can't you? everything back then was hand drawn and not CGI models like the majority of anime/cartoons are today

Quality hand drawn art will always be timeless....and its easy as hell to put the shyt on bluray with it still looking incredible

Studios now do digital art to save time and money...but it don't have that same polish

i would argue that new stuff is too polished. it lacks the 'bounce" for lack of a better term that hand drawn on paper animation does. mainly because the lines are too smooth and they dont take enough time.

The episodic nature of the show can be a tough sell. You gotta get through off the strength of the characters, soundtrack, and quality of the individual stories with this one.

The show just oozes cool and that English dub came down from the heavens

The Greatest animé soundtrack.

I know the details (cel animation) I'm just saying at times I'm still amazed at times at how great it holds up 30 years later especially with the advancement of technology in animation.

That Akira bike chase is a top 5 scene in any anime. The whole movie is legendary, but that bike scene was on another level.

And Cobwoy Bebop is arguably the GOAT TV anime.

Meeting Radical Edward in episode 9...
When that lobster went bad and started attacking everyone...
Learning about Jet's backstory...
Mad Pierrot and that whole fight in the amusement park...

That series had too many GOAT moments.

I rewatch Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo every year. Both have timeless animation and their OSTs are perfect. Shinichirô Watanabe has two of the best animes of all time under his belt.
