This is damn near up there with that guy on here who claimed penny is in the same category as LeBron . Pierce made 1 all nba 2nd team and 3 3rd teams in his career. Averaged less than 20 points on the career. KD has 5 2nd team nominations and 6 1st team nominations to go with 4 scoring titles, an MVP award, a pair of 50/40/90 seasons, and a career scoring average roughly 7.5 points higher. It’s not even close.

Pierce ain't nothing to scoff at. Hall of Famer, one of the better scorers of all time, many clutch moments.


When he didn't have any players around him, his teams ain't do much. He got better HoFers around him and while he wasn't the focal point, was able to be a part of championship team.




I say this as a Heat fan who doesn't like Pierce. They near each other terms of impressiveness and effectiveness. Maybe KD gets more shine because of his stature or having the good fortune of playing with other stars such Westbrook, Harden, Booker, Kyrie, CP, etc.

They may not be Wade / Dirk status, but still greats in their own right.
