In my opinion and this might sound like some airy-fairy shyt, but honestly it's better to equip yourself with the tools of knowledge and then you can disect and assess all external information and see what you should apply in your life and throw the rest away.
Not everyone is going to be truthful, no one possesses all the right answers; so in no way should you be relying on their words as the whole truth. No disrespect to any of these brothers because they've all have given me useful information that I can use in my life. However, I don't follow them like that. Just try to be the best you can and from there see what you can do for your community, that's my philosophy at least.
