I think Tariq and so called smart black leaders are misleading a lot of you. The idea that because this primarily effects Hispanics means we shouldn't care is bullshyt. Because that's short sighted thinking. The longer term thinking and bigger picture is this white supremacist administration and how it continues to show they don't give a fukk about anybody that isn't white.

Trump's Department of Justice has been looking for "evidence" of crimes in order to remove Haitians from that Obama program that shielded them from deportation in an effort to deport them. They are basically hunting them.

Trump's Department of Justice has literally reversed direction all of the Criminal Justice reform that has been made in the previous years. The current racist AG wants to charge people with the harshest, longest possible sentences for shyt that doesn't warrant it. This current Department of Justice will not be suing police departments who violate civil rights and not be forcing them into court ordered reform like the previous administration. Instead they said they will be letting it slide which is why most police forces were Pro-Trump before the election. Because letting it slide also means letting racial profiling slide. Also, Trump himself went on national TV and essentially encouraged police brutality which will further embolden the police to carry it out. Remember, the FBI released that report on white supremacists entering the police force.

All of that has a direct effect on black people proportionally.

I'm not saying you should go and march with these Hispanics at protests. I'm not saying you should be sympathetic toward them. I'm saying you should study this administration to get more familiar with how they move. Study their decisions and the behavior of each top official to get politically knowledgeable and educated because people like them might rise through the ranks in ya'll local towns, cities and states and try the same white power approach through the court system, criminal justice system, the legislative branch (like city council or state congress) or the mayor/county executive or governor role. Remember, Trump embolden a lot of white supremacists but he also emboldened a lot of hard right Conservatives who are basically bigot trash. Some of you might live in more liberal cities so you don't have to worry so much, but it's still good to be armed with wisdom.
