man, I just get tired of seeing the origin story. if you haven't seen either incarnation of the spiderman franchise, then you assed out this time. lets cut to the chase and have him already be spiderman when the movie kicks off.

They aren't doing an origin story breh. It's already been said a few times now that he'll be spider man off the break and he's showing up in civil war for something but as spider man

Reboot is different from origin in my opinion. I'm for the mcu reboot, not for a spiderman origin story
:whoa: so are they doing ANOTHER reboot?????

Lets be honest. Its an mcu film. The villain is going to be a complete after thought and pose no threat to spidey.

Its been what 11 films? Pretty clear at this point that if youre looking for a well done villain you arent going to get it because its like 10th on marvels priority list.
:pachaha:Man I always see this, y'all got marvel fukked up on that one. These are movies continuing into perpetuity. Whenever you see a villain it's that villain's origin story. Feel how you feel about it, but it doesn't make sense to put half the villain's continuity and comic feats/ behavior in his first outing. The only movies who do that are the ones that are one-offs, or a planned trilogy, so they go all out. It is what it is.:manny:

Almost evey single villain theyve had has been a one and done after 1 film. Just jobbers. We arent going to see ronan, ultron, generic alien army, abomination, evil business guy #1,evil business guy#2,evil business guy #3,whoever the fukk were the villains in the thor movies again. Was loki the main villain in thor 1,i can barely rember that piece of shyt all i remember was some dumb lookin robot. Literally only loki and thanos are being built up. And loki is just a poor mans joker, and thanos has had like 4 lines.

Besides which, even if it was just an origin,id rather drink 4 litres of vinegar then spend another movie with any of their lifeless jobbers. Is anybody really leaving the theatre like, man I need to see more of evil business guy#2!

Yeah I feel that but you gotta find a balance to be able to put that hero in jeopardy and also do your long form storytelling. You have to have some real stakes in it breh. I'm not trying to see him battle someone who poses no real threat to him because he's halfway developed and wants to make jokes more than be menacing

And if you're right, then why haven't we seen any of Tony's villains since? Where's Red Skull? The only guy who's continued for more than one flick is Loki

I'm thinking they might bring back ronan, ultron the chitauri and abomination back in some form, who knows. I feel you though.

you're right. As far Tony's villains and the red skull i'm thinking perpetuity man. Like 15 years from now. You guys may be right though. I've been thinking the same thing. I'm waiting for Infinite war 1 and 2 to decide whether it's this :hula:or that. Thing is I see the signs, like with blade. *Random Point* i've been reading up on stuff and watching lengthy vids the past years that revealed that dark matter is plasma, just like blood. dark matter is to the universe what plasma is to the human body. So I immediately went to thor: the dark world with the aether converting matter to dark matter, and the aether looks like blood, and the dark elves absorb it. then i googled "aether" and came upon this: ( Through Ancient Eyes: Thor - God of Thunder (Son of Saturn) & the Worlds Within Worlds ) which let me realise that the dark elves are a precursor to vampires in the MCU. Then you remember that Blade is originally based in london, and the fight between thor and malekith was based in London. And in the comics they've retconned the hell dimension of Dormammu, Hel where Hela resides, and Hel where Memphisto resides into one "hell" realm, So i'm guessing the Dr Strange film will feature all of them, and that will enable them to branch off into Ghost rider. They even featured the hell dimension in Season 1 episode 9 of Agents of SHIELD, and they had a character who phased in and out of that dimension in the same way nightcrawler does, which will work should they get the x-men rights back. They're planning everything.:pachaha:So I see them tabling villains and bringing them back years later. But yeah I agree with you on the real stakes but I look at these flicks like one shots or comic arcs. Comics as a medium lends itself to retconning every generation, but film continuity isn't as forgiving, minus James Bond which is one character the franchise is based around. The MCU has far to many moving parts for a soft reboot every generation to be forgiven. I mean even with James Bond there's a thread on here about cats just being plain tired of the character. So how many times can you raise the stakes incredibly high for each film of a character that's going to be around for your kids' kids to watch, while only aging like 5 years? I see what you're saying but they've got a hell of a balancing act and they're playing the extreme long game, unsatisfying as it is.

MARVELOUS DA7E 102: On Spider-Man's New Costume, Who Might Be In His Movie

spidey_concept_by_spikesdm-d50crht.jpg

Want to know what Spidey’s gonna look like?

BOOM. BLUE IS OUT. That's been floating around the internet, but let me bring it into the fold: this is what we should be talking about.

In the grand tradition of not publishing things illegally obtained, I’m happy to report this is an artist’s rendering of the Civil War Spider-Man costume. [UPDATE: ED. the concept art was not drawn from descriptions of the concept art as the initial version of this post stated, this photo was found by a source with access to the Spider-Man costume as a way of legally reporting on how it looked.] That means specific details (like how the lenses and gloves are styled) might be a little different when they hit the screen next year. HOWEVER, it’s really easy to see the “home made” costume look that Marvel Studios has been touting.

This costume is gonna be cosplay-a-riffic.

I feel pretty good about that hybrid of Spider-Man India (toes!) and Spider-Man Noir (goggles!).

There’s a rumored cast list for the Spider-Man solo film floating around the internet (h/t) that I feel less sure about. Sure, the internet seems to be obsessed with how speculation and scoop reporting isn’t entertainment journalism this week, but y’all I know I do not care.

I’ve been texting this image to my comic book friends, why shouldn’t I share it with you? Just don’t claim that I confirmed anything here.

Most of this is probably :duck: especially the last part.

am I the only person that enjoyed the last 2 spider man movies a lot more than the first 3 and thought andrew garfield did a good job ? :sadcam:
other than Andrew Garfield being a Peter spidey and having a different villain what was really different about Spiderman 1 and ASM? I don't know how you can think anything in ASM or ASM2 is better than Spiderman 2
