I was never a fan but I think Marvel could make him a dope villain..

If you go with the idea and hammer home the idea that he's a thief then it works although it'd be nice to put his personal beef with spider man in there too because it adds a nice touch to the character and shows how egotistical he really is

:mjlol: Carnage aint happening breh..unless you want to see him "murder" robots, it aint happening. My money is on Kraven because it makes the most sense logically
Whedon isn't directing this one bruh, they could go whichever way they want.

And if he was in the Cartoon/Comic book why not on TV:dwillhuh:

Because in order to do Carnage, you gotta show him being vicious. It has to be a dark movie and I don't see Disney/Marvel doing that, regardless if Whedon is directing or not. That's not their m o right now

So basically you got to show him acting like the Joker :upsetfavre:

:deadrose: that's what he is. I thought it was pretty obvious what Marvel was doing when they created him and then had batman and spider man face joker and carnage in a crossover comic in the 90s. He's joker without the depth of characterization or impact or good writing. He's a product of them going crazy with Venom's popularity and just trying to milk it for all it was worth. There's a compelling thing there though, with his "little brother" complex he has with venom but the in truth, the best carnage story, at least in my mind, revolves around something similar to what joker did in the dark knight. You make carnage be this guy who wants to prove to spider-man that the world is just as fukked up as he is and that Peter's idealism and morals are naive and a thing of the past.

the best thing they can do, for me anyway, is go with the organized crime route because that shows Peter something new than the whole "scientists gone bad" thing we've gotten since 2002. Peter sees the world in a very black and white way: bad guys get punished and good guys get rewarded but if you corrupt that and show him that its not always that simple, and that sometimes the bad guys win even when they lose, that's not only a good lesson for him to learn as a hero but a great lesson for him to learn as a teenager. That even when you do the right thing, some guys just go unpunished and that society often rewards those with enough money and power to skate the situation. You put him up against kingpin or tombstone or hammerhead or the big man and have them send someone after him like shocker or mysterio or kraven in order to keep him busy while they do the real crimes

:ehh:

Good ideas

I actually wanted to see a real Venom but you're right how they just played on Venoms personality to create Carnage.

I just want them to actually have a intimidating, kinda frightening Carnage/Venom and maybe go along the lines of The Dark Knights joker (Heath Ledger) kinda insane.

But I'm probably asking too much... It's Spider-Man. To big of a name to not make it kid friendly

If it was out of Disney's hands I'd say there's a chance of that happening but I don't see it. I think there's a way to please both audiences though and in general, marvel has been able to do that but they gotta go with an intimidating villain. Even if they don't go the organized crime route, Kraven makes the most sense because he'd be drawn to NYC to hunt this human spider he keeps hearing about. That way you get to keep it "street level" but also a tad fantastical

I could get behind that arc

You need time for the symbiotes and that's not something I'd do on the first go round. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Build to it. Especially if they're talking about this being a long range harry potter type thing. You got time for that. Keep it street level and then let it build to something more cosmic

Yeah guys the MCU doesn't even portray their villains in a super malicious way you'd think they'll adapt Carnage at all knowing their history. :manny:

I'd base it off the 616 version with a dash of the Ultimate it'd be cool if he tried to take out the Kingpin as the crime-lord of New York. Mysterio has a lot of things that make him interesting his look, his powers all are unique enough to set this film apart from the other spidey flicks.

That would work too..but I think they've got other guys who would fit the mold better of trying to take over and be the kingpin. But he'd be a good look for that
