Right... the same LeBron that, immediately after signing that nice new Nike contract, all of a sudden doesn't know enough about the Tamir Rice situation to speak on it is the most socially conscious superstar we have :rudy:
Don't ever mention LeBron in the same sentence as Ali ever again :camby:

Forget the 4-5 final losses, that's the biggest asterik on LeBron's career :scust:

Always a joy to read his work. So well spoken. Hard to find better ways to explain his significance than in this piece. I think he wrote this on his phone too. There's that empty line like when you hit return by accident lol.

:dahell: it looks like part of this quote is missing.

Breh could you fukking imagine if we had a black athlete speaking like this today. Cotdamn :damn:
Politically, the current climate is nowhere near as volatile though. We don't have any sort of major social upheaval like the 1960's in this day and age, so it's hard to say. He was very much a product of the place and time he came from, which is what makes him so much more fascinating a man. He represented so many different causes to so many different communities that I'm not sure we'll ever see someone quite like him again. He set the standard for so many who have come since him both in promoting himself and using his voice and influence to campaign for what he felt was right. Shame that his last 30 years saw his health decline like it did.

Nope....I won't allow folks to turn Ali into the 2016 white palatable version of who he was when hated.

Do not sanitize this man who was proud of his black heritage by saying "he transcended race" and other new age poppy cock terms.

Nope....not HIM. I won't allow it.

It's truly disgusting, isn't it?

These same people people that were ready to lynch Lebron for wearing an "I Can't Breathe" shirt now have these fukking crocodile tears over Ali.
