Lakers can only give kyrie a 2 yr deal right now Cuz stipulations. We can give him a four yr this off season only
Lakers ain’t dumb why risk him walking away this off season and we give up all them assets
Look what happened to Dwight when we traded for him.
Man Bron better talk to his boy and make him fukking agree :manny:
Because ain’t no way in hell Lakers should have a handshake deal :dead:

Up to Bron to close. I get where they coming from…they gotta have him locked up to feel comfortable trading all those assets for him. That’s reasonable..

Source: Spurs "Extremely Busy" After Kyrie Irving Trade Demand

Part of the article:

-As SpursTalk previously reported, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Spurs have remained in contact regarding a possible Russell Westbrook trade. A Spurs insider tells me that the Kyrie Irving trade demand has accelerated those talks.

On the surface, a three-team trade involving the Spurs, Lakers and Nets makes sense. The Spurs are open to absorbing Westbrook’s contract for the right package of draft picks. The Lakers covet Irving and remain interested in Jakob Poeltl, Doug McDermott and Josh Richardson. The Nets could be moved by the luxury tax savings the Spurs can provide and are interested in Zach Collins and Richardson.

However, a source tells me that a disagreement regarding draft pick compensation is a major stumbling block for this particular trade. Both the Spurs and the Nets are asking the Lakers for two first round draft picks in any deal. The Lakers only have a total of two first rounders to trade — and a source tells me that it’s not even clear if the Lakers are willing to trade both picks in order to acquire Irving.

Man if the Spurs randomly absorb Ben Simmons contract..

The Empire State
Cacs have been waiting for this brother to fukk up.

This is more of a personal choice to move on and the media twist and turns it into him being the bad guy.
That's exactly what it is. Breh trying to get the max, and his current team not trying to. Time to move on. People leave their current places of employment for higher pay all the time.

:mjlol:

he’s doing it for his own benefit which (his habitual fukkery aside) actually makes sense…doing it now ensures he has the “best” chance of getting an extension…waiting til the end of the season drastically minimizes those chances cuz the the nets can say “fukk it—walk” and just look to free up cap space…they can still do that now but I don’t think they want to deal with this headache any longer
I did say feelings aside, I thought we already knew that part about players doing what’s in their best interest

This. That’s why I know most these dudes are really here for the reality show part of the NBA. Kyrie is performing at max player levels when he plays so his contract should reflect that. The Nets don’t want to pay so Kyrie gave them the opportunity to trade him now since he’s going to leave at the end of the season anyway. The media created this overblown non basketball narrative about Kyrie and these sheeps are eating it up like grass. I remember Dennis Rodman was doing all kind of shyt on the 1997 Bulls but the team protected his on court play as that was what his value was. The Nets owner and FO is caught up just like some of these Coli dudes, who really gives a fukk about what Kyrie does or thinks when he ain’t on the court unless it’s criminal.
