Who says you lose it? You honestly think that a contending Nets team wouldn’t pay him his full salary? If the Nets win the title at any point in the 3 years before that it’s automatically guaranteed. And Jrue got his money because they won so :manny:.

And if they’re not a contender and he got traded, whoever trades for him would guarantee that year in a short extension. It’s not crazy at all giving his current reputation. You nikkas talking about him like he didn’t want into this year saying he was humbled by how much the league didn’t want him. Dude has behaved for 2 months.
That’s too big of a risk playing with someone's money. Jrue lucked out. You think Bron or any other all-star caliber would take a championship clause in their deals?

No idea why this animosity against Kyrie.

He played, negotiated a contract and didn't agree to the offer. He's within his right to see if he can get the contract with another team. What yall want him to do?
As a Kyrie fan from day one.

I want him to stop doing this dumb shyt that’s detrimental to him finding a good spot to make money and win basketball games.

It’s not like he doesn’t have a history of fukkery to overcome. He’s probably the most talented person on earth in any sport that professional teams aren’t scrambling to sign. That’s how much he’s fukked his reputation up. Sports teams will ignore all types of shyt even down to rape and murder, if they think you will help them win.

Ky has cultivated a reputation that he sabotages every team he’s on, and with this move he’s only reinforced that narrative.

If Ky is to ever get the bag he feels he deserves he’s gonna have to humble himself for some period of time. Seems like he’s incapable of that at this point:francis:

So he should’ve signed a contract that had stipulations tied to winning a championship? Who does that?
He’s a headache

I’d demand you win a championship if you’re gonna be a headache

Only time people deal with headaches at work is because that person produces the best results.

Kyrie hightlights/moments in a nets jersey is his drama

Playing with someone’s money? nikka, KD only had 3 more years so they’re offering to pay him for an additional year WITHOUT Kevin Durant. 15 percent off of 50 million is 42.5 million. They’re guaranteeing this nikka 190 something million dollars with the chance for 200 if they win a title. Fam what? They basically said we taking 7 million off for your fukkery.

Kyrie couldn't take playing with just Ben Simmons. Remember when he told him to shoot it :damn:

On another note, I was looking at some older threads and saw @Gil Scott-Heroin and @Squirrel from Meteor Man have been going at it for years :skip:. The Coli version of Tommy and Cole. Yall need to start a Podcast or something.
My foot been on his neck so long he’s got a Nike sign ingrained in it, might as well be a tattoo

So why does Jrue Holiday have that? So why did Chris Paul sign a non guaranteed final year? Why did Embiid and AD take less than the full max? I can go on and on. You guys really are falling for this a$$hole’s PR. He had the option of playing out the year and waiting until the end but he wanted his money now because he knows teams can’t offer that at the end of the year without the Nets helping. The Lakers can’t offer him this money after the LeBron extension and likely Rui extension. This is a Nîgga without many options trying to get some leverage. The Nets don’t have any reason to trade him unless they get a great package.
We don’t know what the nets offered him so comparing his alleged contract with others is a moot point

But I’m not about to pocket watch somebody else and say well they should’ve took less non guaranteed money because people don’t like him, the nets knew what time it was they should’ve blew the team up before the season started, it’s they fault they knew kyrie wanted money and there are teams who would give him the max but no they wanted to play the season out and now folks is shocked he asked for a trade cause the nets don’t won’t to sign him to an extension
Mind you they knew they didn’t want to sign kyrie last summer but they dragged they feet and now here we are, tell them front office to take accountability instead of pocket watching the next man

Y'all realize Kyrie can say he's not resigning and scare away unwanted suitors right?

I think most teams realize he’s a rental unless you guarantee all 4 years. He won’t be picky if the money is right
