It might be the best offer he gets
:upsetfavre: please, Kyrie was out there cooking the league with pure mids, he'll get another contract just fine, breh's about to start in the all star game

A championship clause seems like a passive aggressive fukk you, who guarantees that in a season full of variables out of their control?

This is wild disrespectful, a championship clause? :mjtf: he supposed to be the team doctor too if nikkas get hurt?

They just wanted to play him with that offer smh
First off, this is his camp leaking. Second, only 15 percent of a contract can be tied to an incentive. Third, Jrue Holiday had that same clause. Basically probably offered him the max and then said the last year is fully guaranteed if the Nets win a title at some point. You really think that any owner would trust Kyrie without an incentive? Everything he is doing now is what he didn’t do when he first go to Brooklyn.

So if the Nets don’t win the championship, his final season salary not guaranteed. Who would sign some sh*t like that???

No idea why this animosity against Kyrie.

He played, negotiated a contract and didn't agree to the offer. He's within his right to see if he can get the contract with another team. What yall want him to do?
Because he's not living in reality if he thought everything that has led up to now was gonna get him $200 mil from Brooklyn.

Once he wasn't dealt in the offseason, all he could do was play his game and hope someone else would sign & trade for him this summer. Otherwise, take the best offer he can get as a free agent.

on a serious note -I hope he doesn't have any mental health issues because I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

on a humor note - if he's ok mentally and emotionally, dude is top five funniest NBA players in a minute, LOL !!

and they get 0... 0 in return...

a businessman will want something back...

if they get even 1 first round.. its better than 0

A businessman isn't gonna look at that first rounder as anything if he's not gonna be around to use it.

A 2027 first means jack shyt to a GM who won't be around for it.

So he should’ve signed a contract that had stipulations tied to winning a championship? Who does that?
it's a stupid contract offer from the Nets, but it looks genius as fukk if he accepted it.

They're naive in offering it and Kyrie is naive for thinking after everything he's done that BK was gonna negotiate a sweetheart deal for him.

Only 15 percent of the LAST YEAR would not be guaranteed which is the most the CBA allows for incentives. And Jrue Holiday has the same clause. You guys be caping for this nut.
