Him and KD are idiots. I hate to use such a cliche word but seriously. It’s like they don’t even understand the concept of player empowerment or leverage.

My man, you have 6 months left on your deal! You’re a bloody free agent after this year. If you’re traded the other team loses assets instead of getting you outright/cheaper.

The ONLY thing that makes sense is KD’s injury is secretly worse than expected. Even then, you’re a bloody free agent!

There aren't any contenders with significant cap space this summer. And if Kyrie wants to go to the Lakers, getting traded is the best outcome. He'll get a max extension and Lakers will trade him for Westbrook, a non-core piece.
