Trae Young ain't no damn franchise player :mjlol:

No team is winning shyt with trae young as your #1

Is franchise player only defined by winning rings? If so Harden, Embiid, Luka, AD on the Pels, Dame, etc are not franchise players. So what’s your definition?

Was Dominique a franchise player? :jbhmm:

Hawks went to the ECF on the back of Trae Young. Call it what you want but to the Hawks he is definitely a franchise player.

You have no idea what the value of any of those picks will be especially considering the lakers are a star chasing franchise not a tanking franchise …they historically don’t just sit in their hands being bad for years so mentioning LeBrons age is irrelevant.. history says they’re more likely get a new star by then over being in the top five of the lottery

Like who? And if that’s the case why haven’t the lakers been able to do so themselves :mjlol:
I can look at the standings and see where the Lakers are and where the Mavericks are and come up with a conclusion. The Lakers were a lottery team last year. This is not the Jim Buss’s Lakers these the Jeanie Buss’s Lakers I would bet on the Laker’s pick over the Mavs.

Luka is a great fit with Kyrie will have no problems fitting in there it’s a great spot for him. But he kinda has to sign that extension with them even if he doesn’t necessarily want to stay because which team would ever take him seriously if he walks out on his 4th team. So hopefully that the destination he wanted…

It was almost as if this move was forecasted, as if Kyrie was trying to tell us something:

Kyrie endorsing Alex Jones
Kyrie endorsing Jordan Peterson
Kyrie endorsing Jason Whitlock.

Now he'll be playing for a Mark Cuban franchise that has a history of putting white players at the forefront. It would seem the cipher is complete.

Do the keyboard militants follow him to Dallas or do they get outta dodge?

Uncertain grounds
Bron and Luka are very different players.

Bron is looking to facilitate, and share the ball. Luka is much more ball dominant and score first mentality.

Kyrie is a dribble, dribble, dribble, dude. I already see Luka with the :beli: face as kyrie dribbles the air out of the ball and commits turnovers.

Outside of Play-styles Luka don’t seem the type of guy to be OK with Kyrie doing dumb shyt. Couldn’t imagine Luka in post game interview having to answer to why they had a group of hebrew israelites sitting courtside:francis:

Disagree

Luka facilitates but his support was trash. Most possessions down he makes at least one pass if not more...he will drive the lane and get collapse on to kick it out for someone to brick it. Hes more than willing to facilitate if that leads to the best shot available. Just seems like more often than not him throwing just about anything up was the best offense this year

Worked fine in Cleveland with bron and kyrie
Luka was fine with dinwiddie and brunson handling

I dont see a schematic issue arising.

I see issues. Mostly with mentalities. The previous scenarios you mentioned someone acquiesced. Don’t see that here.

Will Cuban give him the extension, or are the assets/players he traded not too bad to the point he can afford to let Irving go this summer?

Sports news outlets are thanking Sean Marks like crazy for giving them this on a Sunday to start fresh tomorrow.

Hope this sparks a good amount of trades and less shytty rumors ahead of the deadline.

He should. History shows that whenever Cuban lets guys go, it's a mistake (see: Nash, Tyson Chandler, Brunson, etc). He is never able to replace the guys who he lets go. His team is constructed so poorly and has 0 offensive power beyond Luka, Kyrie and maybe Christian Wood
