I agree with the ruling in the sense that there shouldn't be a limit...but that corporations shouldn't be able to donate.

What would stop a CEO or a billionaire donating for a corporation by proxy?

Well I don't know how you arbitrarily set "limits" on donations without initiating more or less how much money people can spend.

and people with money SPEND MONEY. Theres no real way to prevent that.

You could prevent certain things like Europe does like no campaigning on TV or something like that.

the whole setting limits on money thing gets weird after some time.

:patrice: I've always been one of those people that criticize people for not voting. But with Citizens United and now this, I almost feel like whats the point? How can my vote matter if the Koch brothers can essentially buy themselves millions of votes. :sadcam:

This didn't do anthing that Citizens United already didn't do.

Citizens United was GAME O V A H for American Democracy already... this was just patty cake.

This empowers the parties less than the individual candidates, it allows a single doner to donate about 7 million dollars to the party to give to the direct war chest of the individual candidates of the entire party. It just makes the actual DNC and RNC much stronger financially... mind you it's still inane corruption, Citizens United was really Armageddon.

Local elections >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I'm starting to realize that more and more as I get older. Previously I was like local elections :camby:

Now I'm seeing how they actually do impact my life

You should see these Chicago attack ads by the way :dead: They're at each others' throats and it's only April :dead:

Yeah...local elections are definitely where its at.

Especially in shyt like schools and SPLOST taxes etc.

People change entire livelihoods with margins in the single digits sometimes. Mindblowing at times. Hard to fake that.
