And people in that locker room have been black their whole lives :rudy:

He'd be pissed cuz his player undercut his attempt at keeping unity in a locker room with many passionate views on both sides. More likely than him saying "it's your decision" to the whole team, he probably said that to Alejandro once he let Tomlin know that he wanted to go out for the anthem.

Tomlin's no fool. He'll surely not make this bigger than it need be. But again, if I were him, he'd be off my team next year.

Tomlin is smart enought to know "if I ask this I KNOW THIS ONE MAN ain't having it". You crazy if you think he this would divide the locker-room. That's why he made the decision in the first place, you say he's smart but then you say Jes dumb enough to do something that condradicts what he did in the first place :russ:

Non-American here, from the outside looking in and trying to understand the situation. Most of the countries I know play their anthem exceptionally (for international sports events, for their national days, for ceremonies of remembrance etc.) Why do you guys play the anthem before a "normal" (as in domestic I guess) sport event ? I remember the first MLS game I watched, I was taken by surprise once I heard the anthem because it was just a simple footy match.

I mean, when I watch a boxing fight, even if none of the fights are American, the anthem is played because it's on American soil. Doesn't it downplay the value of it ? Over here, the fact that it is played rarely makes it important and solemn. Doesn't the anthem become "common" when it is played too often ?

I have family in Pittsburgh and they have informed me that yes people are mad.
ahh the ole my friends uncle's next door neighbor's best friend's 2nd cousin once removed, got it..

And you say they did nothing yet there is a picture of one guy standing there by himself and you here barking at the moon.
what's the actions of one guy got to do with what the whole team did?:what: If one guy said to tomlin I got to go out there for the anthem and tomlin said do what you got to do how does that mitigate their collectively weak non protest?:why:.

If I'm barking then you are hissing like a yellow belly bathurd

What gives him the right to make his statement and no one else?
The first amendment:gucci:Anyone else could have went out and taken a knee if they wanted to. They'd be bad teammates just like this dude is, but they have the right. Y'all nikkas are getting dangerously close to mimicking the logic of the cacs you despise.

:ohhh:

:wow:

Imagine if everybody reacted like this to Kaep's blackballing off top :ohlawd:
If Black people weren't so fukking scary shyt would change. Trump had to call them "Sons of bytches" before they reacted.

NFL is an a Billion dollar industry. The majority of players are black. THEY ARE THE ONES IN CONTROL. They just too stupid and scary to realize it.

If they all said we not going to play man shyt would change quick. This is a type of job where they are not replaceable. Nobody would watch if the stars aren't playing

To instill a sense of pride I guess. It's like that for us since we first start school so many Americans are shocked to learn that other countries don't do it too. Literally every school day starts with the "pledge of allegiance" where we're told to stand up and recite a pledge to remain loyal to America.

Most Americans are uneducated about anything from a non American viewpoint. They just embrace patriotism and any criticism against the US is considered some type of treason.

Not to mention the fact that conservarives have concinced a huge part of our population to vote against their own interests by appealing to that sense of patriotism. People literally refuse to support universal healthcare because they argue we won't be free anymore. Millions of Americans are willfully ignorant is what I'm getting at.
