Hugo will always have a place in my heart for calling Bush the devil. No homo.
so-called left wing sympathies run deep@ Belarus
No one said anything about that which again goes to be point that Welfare was implemented years and years before Chavez making your argument irrelevant. It's like you mentioning something in the present and all my arguments are from past tense.
ok breh we're past the point of you comprehending what's actually being discussed. cheers
We? Many of your alias?
my point proven. you really don't get what's going on here
again, cheers. stop quoting me
so-called left wing sympathies run deep
Seems like they had close relations.
On your initial post, I'm not sure about the conclusions you've reached on Lula. As far as I know economic growth and FDI have increased in Brazil for a better part of a decade. How exactly do his wealth transfer policies make him a faux leftist? Brazil, along with Chile appear to have had even more success than Venezuela as far as inequality, healthcare, and literacy goes while keeping their economy in better standing. Why is that a terrible legacy?
i'm not completely anti-lula, i just think many of the good he has done is more tenuous than it appears. he's not so much of a faux leftist as an incomplete one that wants to take credit for things that might happen. if all continues to go well, i will be happy to give lula and his counterparts credit. shyt as an american with business and social interests in brazil, i'm thankful for lula in a way. i'm just not ready to declare victory, and i can't stand hero worship, which chavez, morales, lula, and their friends thrive(d) on.Seems like they had close relations.

don't forget about Obama.
I'm sure you save some of that vitriol for the millions of African-Americans that live vicariously through the president and view him as a source of personal pride.
When all else fails attack independent thinkers and brown and black men/women who are for self-empowerment.
