Shenmue 3 took a long hiatus between games, and by the time it came out again i was like, this whole gaming style seems dated. I just don't understand how Rockstar can't eat from both tables....online and a new single player game.

GTA Online should be its own seperate franchise.

There's still millions to be made from a traditional GTA single player game. As big as online is there's so many casuals who make a GTA game one of their few purchases due to the single player.

It's not like Rockstar don't have the resources to have two teams. And we see in franchises like Final Fantasy how you can have seperate releases for single player and online.
