All of that over dribbling and chucking up 18 shots a game ain’t necessary anymore with Bridges there and OG to be honest. Those shots should go elsewhere. It’s easy to say Brunson is more efficient when Randle is there when his backup is mid. The team has way more options to help Jalen out now. Seems inevitable that he’ll be the odd man out.

If you still think his shot diet looks like what you described (Randle), you're not qualified to having this conversation.

It's clear you were not watching the player last season.

This is bad. You don't trade that many picks unless the guy is a legit all star who'd be a difference maker.

This is a very 00s Knick move.
Its a win now move with an incredibly deep and defensive minded team. The team you saw lose to the pacers and fight hard against the sixers, that’s our bench now.

That's a smart move. You still keep some key bench players like Duece and Ragu while adding more power plus you still have a lot of picks left.

This team will have great chemistry.

It's a win now move, but can they also retain both OG and Hartenstein? Someone will have to go.

This whole move is corny.

But that's nothing new from the Knicks front office, who haven't done sh*t right in mad seasons. Bridges ain't no difference maker. And this whole goofy Villanova love-fest sh*t they've been on lately is f*cking up our chances to bring in actual superstar talent.

There's nothing more stressful and annoying than being a lifelong Knick fan.

nikka what... Knicks been one of the sharpest front offices the last couple years. I don't know what they changed up there but they been makin mad moves recently when before they was the complete opposite from draft, trades, FA signings. They was a joke throughout the league but it been a complete 180 and why they've had their most legit team since the 90s...

What superstar are you expecting them to get right now that's actually possible? And they got Brunson who was as good as anyone in the East this last season and the best player they had since Melo by far

What they done...

Hired they first legit and serious coach in like a decade since Woodson wit Thibs who the best coach since JVG?

Brunson signing where most was sayin an overpay when that been proven wrong

Hartenstein signing

Gettin Josh Hart for Cam Reddish and a protected 25th pick

McBride drafting

Signing Donte to 4 year $50 milly which easily one of the best contracts in the league a got damn steal

Gettin OG for Barrett and IQ

They was 20-3 when OG played this season and looked like the only team in the East with a shot of beatin Boston.

They front office has completely turned the team around in the past few years, the brunson signing was transformative for this team and some dudes out here still complaining

The point is the opportunity cost of using those picks on Mikal. This is the Knicks' all in trade. The question isn't will Bridges be better than any of those draft picks, it's is Bridges the best possible player they could've got for all those picks?

I'm not even necessarily saying it isn't the best use of those picks, as there's a lot to like about this trade, but i'm not quite sure it's a totally transformative blockbuster trade that immediately takes a team to the next level. Which is what that kind of pick haul usually results in. But maybe the Knicks don't need that much more to get better, i dunno :yeshrug:
In the past four drafts there has been 1 all star taken in the 20s..Maxey and he took 4 years to get to that point ..98% chance it don’t happen and even if it did your core would most likely be out of their prime . Letting this core age out would be dumb as hell. That’s the best case scenario picking that late. People overrate the hell out of picks .

Will there be slightly better players available by trade …Maybe ? Will there be a better combination of player + fit for NY that’ll become available ? No.
