What is that much though ? He’s proven to be a high level 3 and D guy in Phoenix ,went to BK showed that he had a little more game but also showed he’s not a #1 ..In NY as a third option he’s elite .
If a late 20s first is Marcus Sasser that’s a hit ….Marcus Sasser ain’t moving the needle . The likeliest outcome is that Mikal is far better than any of those draft picks they gave up and now they have a legit shot to compete in the East
The point is the opportunity cost of using those picks on Mikal. This is the Knicks' all in trade. The question isn't will Bridges be better than any of those draft picks, it's is Bridges the best possible player they could've got for all those picks?
I'm not even necessarily saying it isn't the best use of those picks, as there's a lot to like about this trade, but i'm not quite sure it's a totally transformative blockbuster trade that immediately takes a team to the next level. Which is what that kind of pick haul usually results in. But maybe the Knicks don't need that much more to get better, i dunno
