Basically no country outside of north korea follows a true communist model and like u said, they dont consider themselves communist, but that's just for their citizens peace of mind. Russia is a federalist-socialist nation which we have an uneasy truce with. They dont have the infrastructure but combined with china and even vietnam, we dont stand a chance. China is the key here, they have an army 100 times the size of ours and plenty of firepower. We could kill off a division per day for 20 years and by then their kids will be ready to serve. We get by now on reputation, we aren't the end all be all that we were thought to be. China and Russia aren't that close. I don't know why people keep grouping them together. Especially when China keeps ripping off a lot of their military designs without even asking.

Trust me, the military has probably played out Pacific War scenarios a billion times over. What we're throwing out here is just child's play.

We are easily what we are thought to be. We spend more on defense than every other country combined. There is no country is the world that projects power like the US military.

Can we be beat? Of course. It would just be very hard to do.
