Real question, if the white media is so destructive, why has there not been at least one rich black person who has tried to get a black station(s) off the ground to show positive black shows? is it because they are kept out or would be or is it an issue of raising enough money?

it's easier said than done cause it's a combination of a bunch of things...sitting the money part aside, just on our end: if you start a station, you have to get programming, get the cable & sat companies to carry that station, and hopefully get people to watch, which is the hardest part....then factor in the outside forces: other companies arent gonna like you getting in on their viewers/money, so they gonna do whatever they can to hurt your station...also, white supremacy (which runs the majority of the media) isnt gonna like a lot of positive black programming, so they really gonna do they best to tear it down.....a prime ex: bet.....

on top of that, getting other blacks to help is harder than you think it should be...prime ex: when bill cosby tried to buy nbc...along with non blacks shytting on him, you had other blacks joining in to hurt his chance for it instead of supporting/helping the brotha....but that just shows that we have a lot of 'reprogramming' to do as a people....

Yes media did exist in the form of newspapers, books, flyers, pamphlets and plays.

white supremacy changes as time goes on. New tactics are constantly being used. Redlining didnt exist either during slavery, that doesnt mean redlining hasnt done damage to blacks.

"media propaganda" is CURRENTLY one of the most effective weapons being used against blacks. Tv's, radios, internet didnt exist during slavery so of course it couldnt be utilized then, but now since media outlets are such a big part of our lives, "media propaganda" is being used heavily in systemic oppression against blacks. Hiphop for instance is now the most popular musical artform on the planet and thats why its being manipulated. Hiphop didnt exist then either

That's why I stopped watching the news years ago.

This. I no longer watch mainstream corporate-owned news anymore. I only watch news on YouTube from Black YouTubers, Foreign News networks' YouTube channels (i.e. RT & Al Jazeera English), & a couple of White liberal news channels (The Young Turks & Democracy Now).

i agree but i think that you think that im saying that media propaganda is the MAIN cause of the black plight. Im not saying that at all. Im moreso saying that its like an "invincible glue". Media propaganda is effective mainly because its a psychological warfare tactic. Its not something that can be seen. Its hidden as "entertainment". Its like poison wrapped up in fancy christmas wrapping. The music sounds good. The music videos are fancy. The rappers themselves live these lifestyles that we envy. We are blinded by the fancy cars, shiny chains, hot beats, etc without realizing that the actual messages are literally promoting criminal and destructive lifestyles to impressionable minds

This song is one of countless rap songs that glorifies extreme materialism mainly to a group of people (blacks) who can ill afford to be materialistic. It teaches us that spending money on white/foreign objects is "cool". Where's the music that promotes and teaches responsible spending habits? where's the music preaching supporting black business?

I am just making the point that white racism existed pre-media and would continue to exist in a post media world. The main issue is dealing with white people.

i understand but we cant "deal with white people" until we deal with OURSELVES . Thats a bitter pill to swallow, but we need an increase in our own racial pride and self-esteem first before we can deal with them. Too much self-hate and lack of unity.
