That's the reason we keep reaching out to others for help. They say some kind words, make us feel good, and while we're on that emotional high they rob us blind and continue to oppress us.

Masculinity is ultimately about independence and freedom. That's why the black man is public enemy #1. If black men were thinking rationally and logically, it would be a nightmare to try and contain us to our present role.

And how can you even say white people didn't sophisticate their way into power? They didn't annihalate us like the Indians. They devised a plan that would strip most black men of any power (kicked them out of the homes by refusing to employ them and offering black women aid to go it alone). Set up a situation where it appeared that the only viable options for black men would be either to entertain white people or endure an emasculating life of subservience (by greatly rewarding a few and shining a light on those few via media as the example to strive for). And forcing any opposing ideological minds to either get down or lay down (political assassinations like Fred Hampton - lay down, brilliant minds like ice cube - get down and become a Hollywood superstar).

I disaree,I think we are an emotional/passionate people by nature....I don't ever want us to lose that....our emotions are our fuel,it's when we move and are at our strongest....I'm not disagreeing with the thinking part,but i dont want being emotional to be shunned or considered a weakness....it's the main reason "leaders" are needed,we need somebody to bring out the emotion in many of our people before we move....it should be seen as a strength,that just needs to be used along with intelligence.

He can have emotions, we're no machines, but the ability to analyze your feelings, why you're feeling that way, and to determine if acting on those emotions would be beneficial or detrimental is the only thing that separates man from animals.

I suggest you study Minstrel Shows/blackface of the past. Once upon a time in history, Minstrel Shows were the biggest form of entertainment in America:

Study the 1915 film "The Birth Of A Nation". This film was successful in painting the black man out to be violent, barbaric rapists. The film justified the creation of the KKK and lynchings against blacks rose dramatically after the films release.

Study how "media propaganda" was used against blacks during the "War On Drugs" campaign of the 80s. The propaganda to criminalize and demonize the black image was so effective, that even black people supported the laws created to lock black folk up

Study how Hitler himself utilized a media propaganda campaign against the Jews before the physical extermination.

Again, media propaganda is most effective because its disguised as entertainment. Its important to become knowledgeable of this tactic so you can avoid dismissing everything as "just entertainment". Remember that there's an agenda behind EVERYTHING.
