Solution seems fairly straightforward and achievable, to me. Recognize the propaganda and shield yourself against it. Educate yourself and your children about history and how white supremacy utilizes imagery to denigrate, dehumanize, and ultimately justify the oppression of black people. Too often, when the mirror is turned on our community, we become defensive and respond with irrational anger rather than listening to the criticism and determining its validity. A cursory review of black imagery in popular media will highlight how skewed our representation is, compared to every other race. We are routinely cast as criminals, jokers, whores, and only shown in a positive light when used for token purposes. This is clearly by design and is employed for the express goal of conditioning everyone - including our own people - to devalue our worth as human beings. This can change if we take control by forming our own media and broadcasting content that informs, educates and also entertains with a balanced and human depiction of the black man and woman. The first step is to turn off the television and stop allowing people who clearly hate us with every fibre of their being to define who we are.

Right now too many of us think the use of entertainment as a form of psychological warfare is a "conspiracy theory".

We're not ready for "solutions" yet until our own collective racial pride increases.

Most black people who react like this ^^^ have a low racial pride so threads like this irks them. They want threads like this to be tucked away and hidden.

We have to wake up first and then we will realize how ignorant and destructive the images and messages we consume are.

Right now we are sleep so its truly "just entertainment" to the vast majority of us.

We must have a mass change in our own psyche. An increase in racial pride. When that happens, buffoons like Black Youngsta and the rest of these puppet rappers will be seen as enemies of blacks

We still patronize mass media outlets like NBC with our viewership because we think only FOX is our enemy due to the fact they're more overt but NBC is just as guilty. The only way to counter what the OP is getting at is controlling and owning our media. ESSENCE and JET had to sell their companies because of our lack of support throughout the years. So countering the negative imagery we see propagandized about us is all our in hands. That also means supporting upcoming black media outlets that counter the anti-black bullshyt paraded out there and that also means continue to support the established outlets that are already out there. The circle jerk about our racial image is engulfed in mold. We need to progress past the debate stage. Fighting the racist narrative should be our focus. Lastly it shouldn't strictly fall on the hands of black media outlets every last single person we share phenotype should be in this fight.​

It's still propaganda though........... If you want to only focus on the positive, it still won't erase the negative. Both will still exist. Whether anyone reports "fukkery" or not, fukkery can be seen everyday in the ghettos of america. Interesting topic. but it ignores a few things that need to be discussed to fully address this.

The rappers and many of their fans view these super thug images as hyper masculine and positive.
Hustlers and gangsters have been looked up to by kids for decades. They are outlaws operating outside the system, not following any rules....and being admired by women.

I don't know if you're old enough to remember the old Brady Bunch episode where Bobby idolizes Billy The Kid.
The facade of Billy as a hero was lifted during the episode.
Show these kids the truth about these real life and entertainment gangsters.
