I’m hearing Dan Mullen as well

:mjlol: Tennessee ain't gonna stoop down to taking a scrub like that.

If we didn't land Jon Gruden, word is John Harbaugh (Ravens) and Doug Marrone (Jaguars) were interested. And if we went the college route it would Chris Petersen (Washington).

Dan Mullen is a scrub.

Can't rock with you on this man.. this is delusions of grandeur. Harbaugh is still living off SB fame although I think he's an overrated coach, there's still a perception that he's good and it makes no sense for him to voluntarily leave the NFL for a step down. Marrone has the Jags winning for the first time in years - they're the 3rd best team in the AFC right now. Why on earth would he leave for college?! Chris Petersen has always been a west coast guy and Tennessee and Washington are basically on the same level prestige-wise, and he was just in the playoff last season because it's easier to win in the P12 than the SEC.

Meanwhile Dan Mullen has a less prestigious program than Tennessee in a much better position than them these past few years. He's no scrub - would actually be a good hire for Tennessee. You're dreaming if you think Tennessee will only consider candidates like these

Mullen could win 11 here and there @ UT

could do worse, beats the hell outta Schiano

Yea man people are tripping over Mullen being something like 6-26 against top 25 teams while at MSU. And while that is a horrible record/stat, give him a program like UF and Tennessee and i'm sure that record would be turned around in the other direction.
