realistically i think what will happen is:
-israel keeps east jerusalem
-israeli settlements close to green line get absorbed into israel

israel will probably have to give up the settlements deeper in the west bank and access to the jordan river in the west bank.

some israeli politicians have suggested trading settlements for palestinian-majority areas of israel (mostly north of west bank) but i highly doubt that would happen

I'm sure the Germans who had been living in Eastern Europe for hundreds of years could have made that argument but in war you make rational decisions to prevent avoidable deaths so it made sense for all Germans to be forced back into Germany.

The current situation is not sustainable. They must be forced to move.

it is not sustainable because of israel’s occupation. if israel stays inside their legal borders all these problems go away.

what you are suggesting would basically legitimize claims countries all over the world have to other land, like russian claims in ukraine. it would create a situation of permanent chaos in international relations

a lot would still have to change to get to this point. one of the main reasons the israeli government started settling the west bank in the first place was because the land is more agriculturally valuable than most of israel’s territory. and at this point most of them seem dead set against any palestinian state at all.

and there are still many many other issues i have no idea how they will resolve (like status of palestinians in east jerusalem, what will happen to refugees in countries like lebanon and jordan, etc.)
