No excuse for the NBA to not adequately pay D-League players. Given it's going to get to the point where every NBA team has their own Minor League team, if the NBA really wants to promote the D-League as a true alternative for 18 year olds who want to play basketball and not go to college, they need to up the salaries they pay to around 50-60k per player.

If dudes are willing to play for less than $100K there's no incentive to pay them more. NBPA higher ups and players in high positions (CP, Bron, Iggy) ain't fighting for them fringe NBA guys. Only guys on that NBPA Exec Committee I could see doing that is Garrett Temple and Anthony Tolliver

I didn't say it was an excuse but receiving a 3rd of your salary PER player, probably straight case to keep it off the books, for getting him to wear Adidas
They caught him one time, how many times had he done this without getting caught? He probably made atleast $500K doing this.
