As do I, I've been around basketball and AAU for years. We all know kids get paid. However you cannot bringing up paying players in the same room as legendary coaches let alone get them to talk about it. Look at the schools named. Only major basketball school is Arizona and Sean Miller is far from being on that top tier.

Explicitly talk about paying? No. Choose off a list who they want and have middle men orchestrate it? Of course.

I'm a Michigan fan. I know for a fact a guy like Beilien has been offered to bring on (paid) players and has turned them away. Coaches are more involved than you are making it seem.

1st Round Playoff Exits
There are way more schools doing this than the ones they are going after. All I'll say.
man every school is doing this. Even junior colleges. I know junior colleges that haven't lost a game in 3 years(football)........
And they recruit mofo's from out of state and everything........

lol, NCAA is a clown org. Some billionaires would make so much money setting up proper minor leagues for the NBA and NFL that paid these kids 30-40k/yr until they were draft eligible. Not drafted? Then go to school, they'd actually take it seriously being there knowing it's their only shot at a "decent" living. But whatever...

No excuse for the NBA to not adequately pay D-League players. Given it's going to get to the point where every NBA team has their own Minor League team, if the NBA really wants to promote the D-League as a true alternative for 18 year olds who want to play basketball and not go to college, they need to up the salaries they pay to around 50-60k per player.
