Let's be reality, this is pandering. The Republicans are well aware that a lot of heterosexual Black men in particular have become at best critical of the Democrats if not out and out disillusioned. They are using this as a way to kill 2 birds with one stone. They want to soften the sentences and arrests that are now being handed out to white kids but it's also clear the Republicans know Black people still won't vote for them but they can get them to stay home which is just as well.

I don't even think it has anything to do w/trump, these dudes have a spiritual and emotional connection to the democratic party
so much so that republicans trying to seize an opportunity to get the black vote is seen as an act of the devil or some shyt
