Dame said some foul stuff about them over the years, some false too. Him apologizing isn’t as big as y’all making it.

He sounded sensitive , but listen to his words, he still didn’t bow down, he spoke his feelings. He did the “honorable thing”. Apologize.

Nothing is wrong with...

Every room gotta old head that misses the "essence", when in reality, the artist they were fans of grew up and forgot to tell them to do the same.

With acts like Westside Gun, Conway & Benny still making money with gritty content. Hip-hop hasn't gone anywhere, they just not looking.
You are another one who doesn't have that spirit, you are just emulating what you see!

Who told you that you have to wear a suit & tie, when YOU have the money & power you need? The whole point in getting money is to have freedom to do what you want!

Did Russel Simmons wear a suit & tie when he was the man, and got respect all over the world? NO! He was the man because he did the exact opposite. He fukked with models, smoked his weed, had a driver for his benz, went partying all the time, talked street, yet he ran a lucrative business, had intelligence , and STILL had respect from corporate America. IT'S CALLED BEING HIP HOP!

I would wear some wild shyt just to say fukk the grammy's since they always are on some bullshyt when it comes to hip hop since the 80's. I have money, I could do what the fukk I want!:myman:

My post went over your head, because you naming rap artists has nothing to do with my point!

Did Russel Simmons wear a suit & tie when he was the man, and got respect all over the world? NO He wore what they wanted. Just like they did.

KYS nikka. I love hip-hop, I was built around hip hop. I was on the block in Queens when I heard the fat boys for the for the first time.

To equate the music genre to simply what you wear is pretty stupid. True freedom is knowing I can wear what I want because I like, not cause hip-hop deems it "cool". I AM COOL.

You just showed you didn't grow up hip hop!

If they wanted to, they should, that is what made hip hop so popular, hip hop people did what they wanted regardless if you liked it or not. They had some money which made it even more wild! Most people with money are scared of being different, because they are sacred of losing the money because of it.

But, why can't they get Dapper Dan to make some fly shyt like he did in the 80's! You know a suit & tie is not the only way to look classy, right?

Like I said, I can see why hip hop doesn't have that spirit anymore, the people who did it sold out. When was the last time you heard any type of rebellious shyt like the 80's & 90's, even though its getting worse for the average American? You don't, and those photos explain why!
Dont tell me how I grew up son. I asked a simple question respectfully so dont do that. As for ya point I get what you’re saying but they’ve gone through those phases. Why is rebelliousness suppose to only be looked at one way?

All Dame had to do was just man up to his mistakes of The Roc crumbling and humble himself.

There's no doubt Jay would had welcomed him back into open arms but Dame's arrogance and pride just destroyed that chance.

Also that recent video of him with Nick Cannon being chatty Patty about Jay and Foxy probably didn't help matters either.

My fault, i thought you were trying to dis like the guy you quoted

Yeah, they went through those phases, but that means it was never really them, they were just doing what was popping at the time. Which is why none of them have any hip hop in them besides Jay-Z, and looks how he is changing his look, his spirit is coming back. He is the only one in that picture that still even raps better then others. He really is hip hop, not just rapping!

Rebelliousness has no look, which is why I said you should dress how you want, especially if you have money & power. The only reason why you wouldn't is because that spirit is not in you, so you are scared of losing everything because you go against the grain. Its not a dis, but I don't like how everyone talks tough, but scared to live it ALL THE TIME because they don;t want to ruffle feathers.

You still are showing you aren't hip hop, because hip hop is not just the music, that is rap music, not hip hop culture!

You are from Queens, and you are talking like this? I know people who were hip hop, and didn't even call themselves that, because they weren't crazy about rap music, but everything about them was dealing with that hip hop spirit!

And how can you type "True freedom is knowing I can wear what I want because I like, not cause hip-hop deems it "cool". I AM COOL" then go against what I initially said. YOU ARE SAYING THE EXACT SAME THING I SAID!:gucci:

And NO, they are wearing suits because they think that is what they are supposed to do. You know that, stop playing games. Every photo over the years show them wearing suits for award shows, stop with the games.
